Hi KKU;

You did stent in Thailand? Can you tell me where you did it and how much cost please? I try to get information about it for awhile, no one can tell me. I may need it later time. Thank you

I had a stent placed 4months ago in Maharat Hospital Nakhon Ratchasima, spent 2 days on ICU, after that went home. Total costs 130.000 thb.

That is govt hosp. At a private hosp, over 300,000.

Cost will also be higher at any location if more than one stent required.

Hi Playboy,

Yes, had some really bad chest pains on a Saturday and Sunday night this last January and decided to stop by the local McCormick Hospital near my home here in Chiang Mai the next day, Monday. Saw a doctor right away; they did a blood test, ekg and x-ray. The blood test indicated further investigation and my doc recommended his teacher from the Chiang Mai University. He described it as a "Procedure" which diagnoses and repairs. I went along with his suggestions so they moved me to Sripat Hospital and I had the procedure that Monday evening.

It's not real pleasant, the doc got my attention when he said, "Be sure to notify all your relatives". Your awake for the whole thing which took about an hour and a half. They went in through the veins in my wrist; I was so grateful they didn't do the groin option. LOL. The night in the hospital was more than uncomfortable. The total bill came to right around 160,000 Baht. both hospital bills. I shudder to think of what it would have cost me in the USA. I was uninsured due to high blood pressure. Thank God for the new ACA for people like me who were uninsurable due to pre-existing conditions.

Good luck, I'd definitely read the book and watch the DVD I recommended as a much better alternative. I have a relative who was bragging about all the stents he has etc etc. Believe me one is more than enough if you believe this is a correctable condition.
