aaacorp Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 Finally made major news wires in US. ----- Thai PM flees police compound as protesters launch 'people's coup'; at least four dead But after a day of skirmishes between protesters hurling stones and Molotov cocktails against riot police firing back with tear gas, the demonstrators failed to breach heavily barricaded Government House, office of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, although the number of protesters began to swell as night fell. "They haven't seized a single place," National Security Council Chief Paradorn Pattanathabutr told Reuters. The protesters sowed chaos in one of Southeast Asia's biggest cities, breaching a police line, seizing seven police trucks, and forcing Yingluck to move to an undisclosed location from a building where she was to give media interviews. http://worldnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/12/01/21701740-thai-pm-flees-police-compound-as-protesters-launch-peoples-coup-at-least-four-dead?lite No doubt US news are by far more accurate than anything else us mere mortals hear or see here on the ground. You re on the ground? where ? i thought you were behind your computer
fish fingers Posted December 1, 2013 Posted December 1, 2013 wish the world media would be more accurate in their description of the protestors, apparently just a mix of middle class and the elite.. especially annoying is their insistence that Yingluck's supporters are basically all rural poor, without mentioning the payments to bus them in and immoral nouveau riche thais who also love Thaksin.

I do that and it helps me keep cool...on a more serious point i agree that is not true : "They haven't seized a single place," National Security Council Chief Paradorn Pattanathabutr told Reuters. but it s been reported to reuters not stated by them. However the other points mentioned seems quite plausible

Uhm, they have medication for that . . . I think. Not that I endorsed anything, but sitting behind one's computer in Thailand with tightie whities on ones head does not make one informed. One could pretty much find support for whatever their belief system is at the moment. Their truth, our truth and reality somewhere in the middle. 1
