elzach Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 Not sure if China is one of those countries, but I just flew in from China last night and all my Chinese friends were asking me how bad it is and to be careful. The Chinese TV has been "featuring" the Thai troubles recently. Having said that, I can report the following: Suvarnabum traffic was normal, Arrivals were packed, Immigration lines pretty long (about 15-20 min wait), lots of Eastern Europeans...and my flight from HK was full of Chinese mainlanders and maybe 4-5 Westerners.

Not everybody reads the news. . Too busy planning fun. The chances of getting mugged, robbed or assaulted are probably higher than being caught in protest crossfire anyway. It could be a tourism "opportunity". Come and watch a country solve its political problems with guns in the streets, from the safety of your high rise hotel. Drinks at six and watch the riots. New entertainment. Like the Colloseum. Gun toting drunken Buddhists throwing molotov cocktails. I wonder if Betfair have any odds on the outcome?
Equalizer Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 I'm at level 42 but that's just a lesson in love 2

I came through on Sunday 1st 4pm and the immigration was empty, only half the desk's had any passenger's at them it was walk up and walk through. I had fast track and didn't bother to use it. Resembled a ghost town. The King power duty free sale's bit didn't even have anyone manning it.
