Reds oppose demands

BANGKOK: -- Red-shirt leaders Jatuporn Promphan and Thida Thavornseth yesterday opposed demands by protesters that PM Yingluck Shinawatra and her Cabinet must not stay on as a caretaker administration. They also announced the cancellation of a rally in Ayutthaya today.

Meanwhile, a mob of about 150 reds rallied in cars and motorcycles in Lamphun in a show of support of the PM. They drove from Pheu Thai Party's local branch and stopped at the provincial hall to read a statement of support for the government and attacked the anti-government movement.

A women's network from Chiang Rai also voiced support for Yingluck.

Secretary of the Chiang Rai Committee of Thai Women's Empowerment Foundation, Thitika Sudejmak, led 500 women to present a letter to the local governor in support of Yingluck after she dissolved the House. In the letter they said Chiang Rai women opposed the anti-government protesters because their actions were undemocratic.

A pretty simple rule of thumb I use in Thailand is that if Jatuporn opposes something, then it must be a good idea.....

What a shocking story this is, I thought for sure they would be all for it 555

Undemocratic??? What was it when the reds occupied the center of Bangkok then?

Also "Smart Lady Thailand" TV show has declared to stand behind Yingluck, no matter what (just not in front)

Jutaporn is nothing more than a rabble rousing thug whilst Thitika is far from the sharpest crayon in the box. To fail to see the errors and negativity of the government they elected and virulently support suggest that they are devoid of any perception of either quality or reality.
