Just downloaded the first episode of   the name of the Rose ,a medievil story and the Dublin Murders , the first one should have been called ,how to be bored in 3 easy lessons , the second ,very good ,well worth watching .

The original movie was very good, with Sean Connery. Was made after a book by Umbeto Eco

"Looking for Alaska"

Drama about high school students at boarding school. (All actors are actually in their 20s.)

Watched all episodes over the weekend  Based on a banned John Green novel, set in 2006.

Similar to "13 Reasons" but imo much better.

New one on BBC, Thursdays, GUILT.

Downloaded 15 movies over the weekend, watched 5 minutes of 13 of them, watched The King and Fractured.

I thought Fractured was good and will try to watch The King tonight!!

Pennyworth is worth a look despite the ridiculous SAS bits and berets that would make an Iraqi General look smart. jack Bannon plays the part well even though he comes across as a bit too much Michael Caine at times (look out for Micklewhite Avenue at one point which would make this seem intentional).

Just started the 7th series of Elementary- Lucy Liu looks very hot as a a blonde. The Deuce S3 is available now, Get Shorty and The Rookie are part way through their series and for the Brits there is a new season of Have I got News for You on.

As a thread drift the new Lee Child epub is available as well for the readers amongst you.

Could possibly the worst acting and dialogue we've ever produced.

Oz is not exactly known for other than stilted acting- Judy Davis in Who Dares Wins springs to mind ????. I enjoyed it for what it was, although Ptes getting in Maj's faces and sticking one on them was a bit over the top.  Brig   Jackson came across as a bit of a martinet  but the Bn CO, Townsend, was portrayed quite well IMHO. I could have done without the USO type show and the bimbo, which brought nothing to the film.

Britain's Largest Warship series 2 is worth a look- this deals with the flight trials of the F-35 and the tension of the first landing was palpable.

A sweeping statement only supported by a performance in a film made in 1982!

A few Australian Oscar and other award winners who may disprove your assertation include Cate Blanchett, Heath Ledger, Nicole Kidman, Geoffrey Rush, Peter Finch, Mel Gibson, Toni Collette.
