I had a 300grm filet mignon for Thanksgiving. I love turkey, but can certainly do without if the price is wrong.

Who said anything about the price ?? if you cant afford it stick with your Filet I myself will go with the turkey no matter what the price cos its CHRISTMAS and it only comes once a year.

Can't see the attraction in having it delivered. Part of the fun is the whole preparing and putting the Turkey in the oven and pissing off down the pub bit. Make stuffing to your taste, chipolatas and bacon, bread sauce, dark meat, light meat, proper gravy, etc. Mmmmmmmmmmm.

Use the Keith Floyd technique and make sure there is plenty of wine around for seasoning (you, not the turkey).

I pick my turkey up on 23rd and then get to work on it.

Just out of interest what is the price for cooked turkey by the kilo?

In the UK, a turkey this year is £70 = 3500B. I'm guessing in Thailand its about half that.

Just to put into perspective, before people start ranting about how much a turkey costs in Thailand.

We Are paying just under 250 baht per kilo for stuffing. cooking, slicing and delivery. From Rimping by the river.

Forgot to add we are buying 24 kilos. We are big turkey and stuffing eaters.

A Thai fried rice dish like cow pak in London cost about 500 baht+. I could say in Thailand it would only cost 25 baht. most turkeys are imported and subject to import tax.smile.png

Indeed, but then you would be comparing eating a foreign dish in likely a mid-range restaurant with proper cooks using decent ingredients and meats in the ALPHA++ city compared with having naff fried rice cooked with ancient, dirty oil street-side, what what! Try getting a 'khao phat' in a comparable restaurant in Bangkok for 25 baht.

So that I can plan my parking, can someone tell me where in Central Festival the Food Hall is located? Thanks.

Downstairs in the new Central Festival mall, northeast of town at the Kaew Nawarat/Chiang Rai rd intersection.
