Suthep's procession reaching Saladaeng

BANGKOK; -- The main procession led by People's Democratic Reform Committee secretary general Suthep Thaugsuban is reaching the Saladaeng Intersection at 1:30 pm Sunday.

Meanwhile, protesters have started gathering at the Lumphini Park in an atmosphere like family picnic. Families brought foods and mats to sit while listening to protest leaders while children were running around the park.

AUSTRALIA

A foreign student from Thailand has drowned while swimming at a beach in Sydney's eastern suburbs, Australian media reported Sunday.

Emergency services were called to Maroubra Beach at 1.30am on Sunday after reports that a man had disappeared in the water, the Northern Star online reported.

Police officers and PolAir launched a search for the man and a short time later he was pulled from the water.

Paramedics tried to resuscitate him and he was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital where the 23-year-old was pronounced dead.

A police officer was also taken to hospital for treatment and was later released

Four bomb attacks hit Songkhla's Sadao district

Sadao district in Songkhla province was rocked with four bomb attacks on Sunday but there was no reports of injuries.

This border district is adjacent to Malaysia’s Padang Besar of Peris state.

The first attack took place in front of Padang Besar police station in Sadao the same district while the second was at a parking space of Sadao police station. Initial investigation showed both attacks were caused by explosives hidden in motorcycles which were parked in the areas.

The third explosion was in front of Oliver Hotel at Ban Dan Nok while the fourth was in a soi near McDonald shop in the same area
