An urgent agenda for traffic problems in Hua Hin

HUA HIN: -- The Prachuab Khirikhan Governor Mr. Weera Sriwattanatrakul the Mayor of Hua Hin Mr. Nopporn Wutthikul and representatives of organisations with an interest in recently attended a meeting about how to actively and effectively solve traffic problems in Hua Hin.

Participants at the meeting agreed with a measure for one-way routing on main roads in Hua Hin. The organisations concerned will now propose an operational plan. The Governor would also like to carry out a public hearing before implementing this plan with a public relations campaign so that local people and visitors in everyone is aware of the changes. Public Officers will also be required to help drivers in need.

The one-way routing measure in Hua Hin will cover Sra Song Road (from a junction at Damnern Kasem Road close to the Division of Waterworks northwards to a junction at Chom Sin Road opposite Sawang Hua Hin Thamma Sathan Foundation), Chom Sin Road (from a junction at Sra Song Road eastwards to an intersection at Phetkasem Road), Decha Nuchit Road (from a junction at the road paralleling the railway eastwards to Phetkasem Road), and Amnuay Silp Road (from a junction at the road paralleling the railway to an intersection at Sra Song Road).

In addition a budget allocation will be sought for a roundabout at Phra Chan Bend to effectively manage traffic flow and a new road will be built to connect the Bend with Soi Hua Hin 68 (Soi Rong Lek). The progess of each project will be presented in details at the next meeting, concluded the Prachuab Khirikhan Governor.
