December 31, 201312 yr Need a bit of help folks, may sound a bit strange, thai daughter phoned us from uk this morning, asking the best way to send an electric heater from uk to sunny Sang to nok, between amnat and yasothon, is there any where in Ubon ,Amnat or Yasothon or even Muk ,that sells heaters in some form or other, my my exgrandma in law ,89 years old is starting to feel the cold, any information would be greatly appreciated,
January 1, 201412 yr I suspect all sold out by now - the really cold weather normally only lasts a week or two but has been going on for three-ish weeks in this neck of the woods and I noticed a posting form Khon Caen saying someone had trawled the watsadus there only to get a sold out or 'no-have' message. Looking on the bright side - forecast shows the low going back up to 20 degrees around the weekend. Look on the darkside and a week later they predict it going bacl to 15 (but long range forecasts are prte Perhaps send/take some warm clothes and see if your ex can have a word with a neighbour to make sure someone in the village is looking out for her and welcoming her to their fire
January 1, 201412 yr Seen one in the new Global House, 3 days ago. Oil filled electric heater. No guaratee it would be there now
January 2, 201412 yr A 2000 W electric heater and Thai wiring is av VERY BAD combination. You will certainly start a fire.
January 3, 201412 yr No worse than a water heater or A/C unit, less than 10 amps. Just make sure the outlet is wired with 2 mm wire
January 6, 201412 yr Author thanks for the input folks, lots of rellies there to look after the old girl, but not one with any common sense, no problems with wiring, an aussie leccy mate rewired the house when we rebuilt, looks like its a reverse aircycle system from Vientiane, its a bit awkward I,m in aus, kids and grandkids are in UK, Germany and Switzerland,
