Not! Well parking lot not.....

<deleted>??? I must say that the rapid development of Phuket is getting a bit out of control ... there seems to be (still) no real planning or zoning going on - it's just go for it full speed ahead! :D

There are approx. 200 new major estates being built - left, right and centre - and all of a sudden somebody has decided that it's a good idea to upgrade access to these thousands of new residences?

All the simultaneous roadworks are creating havoc ( as needed as they may be) but.... there is NO safety involved, no landscaping - it's a nightmare & it's bloody ugly!!!.

Huge machines are ripping up the roads at the speed of lightning while tearing down beautiful old trees - especially at Rawai right now .... all those lovely old fig trees with "colored ribbons" are now marked with large red X's - they'll be goners tomorrow!!! :D

There are no "safety" lights- driving is very dangerous and that is only in the daytime- I dare not venture out at night anymore. No public media, no warnings... the resulting finished highways are still dangerous with no turning lanes..... the left hand-lane on the new highway past Central Festival has turned into an illegal parking lot.... blah, blah, blah!!! :D

Still as stressful as ever to drive around the island. What's going on here? Will it ever end? It's madness!

I'LL SHUT UP NOW!!! :o

Wow, you are not joking!

I went out on the bike for a spin today and ended up down in Rawai and the stretch from Rawai Muay Thai down to the end is horrible :o

Go up to the view point. The view has hardly changed in ten years. Plenty of green still.

Not likely the SEA view will change too soon Sir Burr..... we are discussing the rapid-outta-control-"progress" of Phuket island mainland right now! :o
