Late March, or April. Same as last year and the year before that and so on.

January and especially February are the driest months of the year here.

Why would anyone expect a lot of rain here in Phuket at this time of the year ? Expect rain at the start of the rainy season. Usually around Songkran

Day before yesterday, first rain in Khao Lak since over a month. Always cloudy, and humidity in the air is high, but it just doesn't rain. The previous years, it definitely rained every now and then in December/January.

It seems the high wind pattern is keeping the mini storm cells away. Grass is already looking really dry and usually it doesn't look this brown until March.

i don't remember it being this dry this early in the dry season over the last few years. April is a long time to wait for rain but i guess its not something you get to choose

Wait till it does come [after March-April]its dictated by the change of monsoon direction, so you have no option other than to wait......but then watch all the complaints about too much rain....be careful what you wish for...smile.png

thanks Oilinki... that is quite impressive!

Be careful what you ask for...Still, sad to see Khao Toh Seh turning brown

Climate change gradually. Thailand will be intolerable hot in the future even for Thais.

It rained for about 30 minutes in Rawai last night and i was not a thunderstorm

Just a good heavy shower and then stopped

Steve, didn't you have the same problem when you lived in Cha am, try Devon or Cornwall, plenty rain there, good cider also:D

Not rain, but is that fog outside?

I have to search for long pants as it feels quite cold now.

Very hazy down in the south of the island this evening.

A bit like living in CM.

I was about to ask what is the difference between haze and fog, and now there is a haar as well.

Where I come from, we have quite a few different ways to describe snow. I Brits must have a huge vocabulary when it comes to rain and fog :)
