Can foreigners with work permit hire a foreign nanny and provide a work permit?

Yes if you as the foreigner employer paid 50,000 Baht tax on your personal salary to the Thai government in the past year. You can hire up to three nannys per 50K paid in tax ( 25,000 Baht tax is only required if the foreign nanny is married to a Thai)

Is my calculator correct when it says that this corresponds to a monthly income of 47,083 Baht for an unmarried guy with no bonuses and no insurance deductions (or any other taxable/deductable fringes/cost)?

If you are a Director with no Thai employees (hence no need to file for Social fund) it would be 53,500 salary per month and your tax would be 50,400 Baht

If you do pay social fund, it would be 52,750 salary per month to have a tax rate of 50,400 Baht.
