Ok Interviewed last month @ Ministry of Ed, all ok

Then changed forms for history check

School had to re-apply with new forms & sent 6th Jan

School said Ministry of Ed could take up to 30 days

My Visa expires 17th Jan

Where/What next?

Book air ticket out/ re-entry permit? or

Can I go to Immigration to extend & advanced payment?

BTW it's My 3rd & last year

Without the correct paperwork you can not get an extension, at most an extra 7 days. A re-entry permit is no good to you.

Maybe have the school phone immigration and see what can be done, but suspect that it will mean you have to leave the country and apply for a new visa when the paperwork comes through.

yes school said they would be calling daily plus I didn't know if I had to leave the country on/before the 17th. Talk about confusing. Then if no paperwork before 17th what time do I have to depart for Penang or KUL? sorry unknown territory for me.

The 17th is the date you would have to leave unless you get a 7 day extension.

Ask your school to get an update from MOE.

I suggest you apply for the 7 day extension so that school can at least get paperwork together for another ED visa in case paperwork for extension does not come through.

You will not get a ED visa in KL (KUL) unless you are attending a university.

Could you tell us what kind of history check? You are a 3rd year student so for two previous years your password is just a series of ED visa stamps! Does not make any sense of this history check.

Did they also required some money in a Thai bank account like in retirement visa? Some other papers?

Went for interview @ MOE with school staff member

asked series of questions, no I was not asked for bank details or any evidence of income. Next day went to school, advised that 2 new forms had been added & I would/they would re-do application but they had already filled in my forms telling me that it had to be written neatly or would not pass. I was also told I would not have to go for another interview.

So 2nd application sent 6th

Just to add, the main thing MOE are checking, from what my school told me, was travel in/out of Thailand. More than 5 trips o/s in 2yrs had to be listed travel dates etc. I had 2 this year & none previous so didn't have to list anything.
