Pullman Hotel KK

Be driving up on Monday for a first time visit to KK. Would like to stay at the Pullman for a couple days, but leery of the reviews indicating loud music from nearby bars/discos until all hours.

Is this primarily at the weekends or is it every night?

My back up is the Charoen Thani Princess.

Thanks for any local advice and/or others who may have stayed at the Pullman.

Pullman should be OK - There is a Thai club at the back of hotel, but just noisy on weekends. Try to get room at front of hotel. I stayed in Pullman when it was Sofitel & probably one of best hotels I have stayed in. I have stopped in quite a few hotels throughout my travels

Pullman is the best hotel in Khon Kaen.

Stayed a lot of times......never disturbed by any noise.

If worried about....ask the reception to give you a room away from any noise.

They are very helpful and speak good English.

Stayed there many times never a problem

ones I had a room on the side of the music noise, I called the front desk and complained, they changed our room to the other side of the hotel. Problem solved.

Best hotel in KK by miles, great restaurant & good pool, I been in the Thai club behind the hotel & I'm sure I was the only farang in there, sort of felt out of place. Hotel recommends asking for metered taxi to go places as the tuk tuk's outside are bit of a rip off, although I used them just for convenience. Couple of friendly looking farang bars across the road.

Nice hotel surrounded by sexpats drinking from morning till they fight n pass out. Sounds great. Try the Kanyarat Boutique hotel on the Bueng KaenNaKorn lake for a real visit.

Thanks all for the input. I'll try to get a front side high floor room and hopefully the noise is a bit tamer during the weekday.

Cheers,

J

Not to worry, no noise at all.

We went to sleep, and it must have rain cats and dogs all night, we did not hear a thing, and I am a very light sleeper, We woke up and look outside the window , the street was flooded with a couple of feet of water, looked like we were in the middle of a lake, it was a surreal seen.

The water was gone a couple of hours later.

Who ever said something about sexpats, is wrong,

I don't go in the bars so I don't know what is going on in there, but I did not see anything, and I mean anything , in the area that indicated sex trade.Very clean area, shopping with in walking distance.

I am sure you will enjoy your stay there.

Thanks for that, plan to give the Pullman a go then. Book in for a night and if no problems, will extend.

Great hotel, stayed there a few times. never heard any noise whatsoever. The comment about sexpats drinking all day then fighting and passing out, sounds like they are visiting the wrong places to experience this.
