BANGKOK: -- The Crime Suppression Division has contacted the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the US to send specialist officials to help investigate the case of an alleged serial rapist and murderer of at least three children.

The suspect has been identified only as "Nui".

An informed source reported that Crime Suppression Division commander Pol Maj-General Supisal Pakdeenareunart had sent a letter to the FBI via the US Embassy, asking for specialists in criminal profiling and crime-scene investigation to aid the investigation into this case.

Good to see that they have actually asked for help. They may actually be evolving into some sort of a police force.

Hm, well... shows more that they know nothing about their own jobs than anything. Not sure they will or want to evolve.

I saw on a Thai TV news story someone claiming he was a serial murderer and rapist because he was shown no parental love when a child. They already figured out what goes on inside his head, no need for the FBI. Time to sweep this under the carpet, it's too unpleasant.

THE FACE OF EVIL. What a sick man. Lets hope other prisoners get to him and sort the sick minded guy out.

Who is the guy in handcuffs? If they already have him, why ask the FBI for assistance? I object to this use of US taxpayer funded FBI for investigating a Thai crime. This calls for massive complaints to congressman and senators. This is appalling.

FBI:"Grow the hell up, we've got our own criminals watch for in the USA..."

Right. They are closely watching each other.

Somebody in the Thai police is angling after a scholarship to do a Masters in criminology in the States. What a score that would be. Loads of prestige. Promotion goes into turbo overdrive.

Sure the FBI will have no shortage of volunteers for

a holiday in Thailand,maybe they can also find out

where the disappeared are and solve the Saudi

killings ,while they are here

If the FBI helps do they need a work permit?

I suspect you're being rhetorical but to answer the question, no. I worked legally in Thailand for a year without WP or passport. Exemptions to requiring WP.

Exemptions:

The foreigners having the following status do not need a work permit to perform their duty in Thailand:

1. Members of the diplomatic corps;

2. Members of consular missions;

3. Representatives of member countries and officials of the United Nations Organizations and specialized institutions;

4. Personal servants coming from abroad to work exclusively for persons listed in item (1), (2) or (3) above;

5. Persons who perform duties on missions in Thailand under an agreement between the Thai Government and a foreign Government or international organization;

6. Persons who enter Thailand for the purpose of performing any duty or mission for the benefit of education, culture, arts, or sports in Thailand;

7. Persons who are specially permitted by the Thai Government to enter and perform any duty or mission in Thailand.

Dr. Seri may be uncomfortable with this as he allegedly told Patrick Wynn (global Post), that those with yellow skin are smarter than those with white skin. To keep him happy, maybe better to send a few Asian Americans.

Help!!! They would have done better inviting Inspector Clouseau than seeking help from these bumbling idiots!!

Nice to see them taking responsibilty for making a mess of the case and asking for help for once

Who says they have made a mess of it? Yourself? A obvious TV Sherlock?

Police forces ask other Police forces for help all the time

Really.

I wonder how many American criminals are doing time in Thai prisons funded by the Thai tax payers and saving the American tax payers a fortune? And how many Americans are working illegally in Thailand, not paying taxes at all, here getting a free ride at the Government`s expense?
