Eeeeek. We have a teacher who has just started with us. She was given a 3 month Type Ed (Education) visa in South Africa so that she could come to Thailand to do her TEFL course. She has now completed her course and has begun work with us. Immigration have no problem with her Type Ed visa but the Labour Office wont issue her with a work permit because they say they can only do this from a Type B visa.

So, does anyone know if she can somehow change this Type Ed for a Type B without leaving the Kingdom?

If she has to leave the Kingdom then she might as well just go to Penang and get a brand new 3 month Type B. The problem is that we are in Phuket and it would mean a minimum of 3 days off school for her to do this. Its a right royal pain in the butt.

Thanks in advance.
