No need to be paranoid. I work 2 km to suzuki dealer and no problems here. They exegerate these protests.

After getting your bike, you can follow ratchadaphisek road to wong sawang road pass rama 7 bridge then charan sanitwong road all the way straight to rama 3 road. Nothing on this route.

Sorry for my ignorance, but i have no clue where any of these roads are. Im playing with Google maps and hope to find it there. Thanks for the information and insurance of a clear pathway.

I like the first route... But i know there are some toll stations there. Am I allow to drive there? Im not sure about the motorcycle and highway rules in Thailand. Some one said to keep away from the blue highway signs.

But this route https://maps.google....&via=1&t=m&z=12 has tollways. Am I allow to ride there?

No you are not allowed on the tollway. That is why it will not work.

Are you in a hurry.

This suggested route http://goo.gl/maps/69JmE that takes you onto BangNa-Trat winds its way through Bangkok unnecessarily at the beginning. All-sorts of ways to get turned around if you don't know Bangkok.

This one in my opinion is simpler. http://goo.gl/maps/icCFv The only tricky bit would be turn number 4. If you have not been there before the rest is straight forward. There is a bit under BangNa but not much. Then simply follow Hwy 7

If you know where you are going you could forget the main BKK-Pattaya road with all that nutty traffic and continue from the 304 down the 315 through Phanat Nikhomthen the 349 to 344 and then down the 331. http://goo.gl/maps/mrDRR There will still be traffic but....

Hi,

Getting my new bike on Friday. GF telling me to avoid BKK now but i want to get my new bike.

How to avoid demonstration and get back to Pattaya from Suzuki Avenue

Thats where I bought my bike. Which model did you buy?

As to the best way to Pattaya, the post above shows the nicest route but it's a fair bit longer than taking the faster, more direct but less pleasant BangNa-Trat Ed.

Don't take the 315. It's a nightmare.

Get on to Bang Na - Trad. Go around the rear of the airport.

What Suzuki did you get?

It is a white V-strom 650 with all the accessories below except for the side bags.

Wow ..that's seems like a nightmare....I'll just let them delivered the bike to me (on the truck),at my convenient location outside this mess.......tongue.png

Will they do that?

EDIT: I emailed and asked them so we will see.

GF don't want to send me alone to BKK cause of the demonstrations..... So how to awaoid them and get safe back home? I have got a few suggestions here and contemplating between them now

I live in Bangkok and have never seen the demonstrations. Life carries on.

If you came on the bus to Ekamai and got a taxi to Suzuki you would not necessarily see them either.
