NSPTR Leader Killed During Election Blockade Rally

Killing someone is always wrong but are we surprised it happens when this is what happens when wanting to vote?

M4np0Ab.jpg

is that a red shirt guy?

The guy with a whistle round his neck (on the right) is wearing a red shirt cap ! so it looks like it's staged

NationPhoto are the official photos taken by Nation Multimedia Group Photographers the very yellow leaning paper, why would they want to portray them in a bad light, or publish it if they thought it was staged?

I would also like to remind you that (as reported by BP) 46 polling stations have been closed due to besiegements.

As for the cap, it's popular in South Thailand, a bit of a short cut to deduct from it he is a red shirt.

Seems more videos are surfacing on Facebook taken from surrounding condos.

The Mrs just showed me one of the police telling the reds to go away, not arresting them as they should.

Seems one of the reds who says he was part of the attack group has posted on facebook that he hopes all the injured dies.

Arrest them for what, turning up at a polling booth to vote?

Thank God some people see the light from the dark here and see the current voting system is rigged.

Finally, now Suthep will see the damage he has done to his country in his effort to gain leadership other than the ballot box. Shame on this terrible excuse of a man.

I am so sorry oldsailor that you see it like this. This country has been in the grip of the now-on-the-run-from-justice and his family for too long. Before he came to power, we had a decent prime minister in the shape of Chouon Leekpai (spellling?) and since Thaksin has exercised his power, the situation in this country has become more and more divisive. Suthep is not after persnal power. This has been made clear time after time after time. But you, and others here, simply do not hear the message. Intelligent people have been able to see that this was going to come to a sticky end and erhaps these are the opening shots of a civil war, encouraged by the Thaksin regime who wish to hang onto power by any means possible. Suthep has put his head on the block and has stated quite openly that the ony aim is to turf the Thaksin dictatorship out of the Thai scene and return the country to democracy. He has stated quite clearly that once the Shins go, he's out of it. Meanwhile you appear to be supporting a mass murder and human rights abuser in the shape of Thaksin. A man who has no boundaries to the depths he will sink in order to retain power in Thailand. Please see this issue in the light of the past few years and not from an ideological base. That would throw a different light on this subject because even the most reasonable of people would say that Thaksin really has not been a great success for Thailand. Here is a man who (cleverly) stole the concept of 'democracy' and sold it to those who know no different as the way forward. But his concept of democracy and the definition of it taught at the red political propaganda schools in the red villages is as far away from democracy as Saddam, Hun Sen, Pol Pot and the other despots, and it was clever because Thaksin exercises and wishes to exercise total power. Surely, running a country whilst you are a fugitive from justice on the run and living out of the country is not democracy. And his running the country in this way cannot be denied as it has been openly admitted by many of his acolytes.

Once again we see the true colours of the reds, they are the violent thugs and will kill anyone who op[poses them, even peacefull protesters. This is directly on yingluck and she is now responsible for this death. Comeon all you red lovers, start bragging how great you are now .

Please let me remind you once again. It was not Yingluck that started this problem, but his excellency the mouth from the south. So this death has to be directly his responsibility. If he had not started this problem, that man would still be alive and waiting for the next election whilst the Elected government would be getting on with running the country as they were popularly elected by a large majority to do.

His boss Suthep , the criminal from the South , is probably telling his friends what to post to defend to most undefendable people in the whole country, with a curriculum of violence, scams, corruption, violations of the Constitution, murder charges, etc...

The protesters are so peaceful that they are free to threat to kidnap people and their children.Of course when a Red leader is shot in Udon...ssshh silence....This is not meant to justify the other side either.

It's just a choice from bad to very bad or terribly bad. Poor Thailand.

Turn on your tv and listen and watch the next International News The world is falling apart. It will probably start with the fighting in Egypt, then the fighting in Syria, then on to Central African Rep. then Sudan, then perhaps another country or two before the fighting in Thailand. What is going on with people?

It may be a suggestion for The United Nations , or some like body, to annex a large portion of little used land and establish a new country . Gather up all the people who find it impossible to live , civilized among others, and ship them over to this newly established country. Then let them all have at it.

I would even suggest a name for this country. It could be called the country of Moron. and all the people in it would be called >>>>>>>??

The only reason the yellow shirts are even on the street is because Yingluck's party wanted to push through the amnesty bill! And it's usually the Red Shirts that use knives, bombs, grenades and violence because the low-lives aren't educated enough to solve their problems in a civilized manner!

It should be very interesting to see what action the Army will take if much more of this happens. I clearly recall the Army boss telling Yingluck less than three weeks ago that if the red thugs started violence he would hold her 'Personally responsible '. I would say she will be horrified that the red dogs are now out of the kennel and running loose on the streets.

The amnesty bill has not yet become law so political murder and wounding is still a crime. As (AFAIK) is showing up at a polling station with weapons.

Khun Ginjag!

Why do you assume I knuckle under, I don't. I have my own opinion as stated.

That it happens to agree with most of my family/friends is probably because we live in a rural community.

No we have not been made rich, but the PTP has done a lot more than anybody else for the rural community, health, education etc.

The dems did nothing.

You seem to have a very short memory my friend. The previous government were democratically elected and remember the red shirt riots in Bangkok that practically closed the capital down for 6 months and the number of dead then? After which we had a rigged election and the sister of a convicted felon (with no previous experience in politics) becomes Prime Minister? You think this is okay? Basically the corrupt Shinawatra dynasty has to go for this country to move forward. If it does not, then you would do well to remember the last time people wore red in southeast Asia. That time 2.5 million lost their lives. Taksin's strings are being pulled by the very same people who pulled Pol Pot's. It's about enslaving all the people here and you really don't get it. Unfortunately the next election will be rigged and so the democratic process does not and will not work now in Thailand. This is why we have the current protests because the people have no faith in the system and rightly so. Thaksin has now bought, or at least moved his cronies into, all senior positions the judiciary, police and army. So let's not knock Suthep. Let us first get rid of the Shinawatras, then put something better in their place.

Good analysis Frotting ... and way to go.

The Peoples Army to Overthrow the Thaksin Regime.

Fascist from start to finish and Even Suthep had to reighn them in a time or two.

No sympathy, they really had this coming and had just closes a polling station and were on the way to yet another one when they were stopped.

Say what you want. These minority violent gangs hijacking democracy have to be stopped. As in other country's you try gently gently... Which they did...

The badly overlooked just how little support they have outside their camps. They are not popular and they have no support at all from Governemts and Media around the world.

We looked on horrifed today and the stream of pictures coming in of voters been harrassed, beaten, strangled and abused. Somebody finally had enough of the crap and stopped the anarchy in Bang Na. Will there be no end to how much damage the Army will allow this group to do to the country we thought. Can a thousand mobsters really stop an election. Well, the answer was no.

Many great pics of people getting to vote and even forcing the Cowardly EC to re-open some stations once the mob had gone.

Many don't like it, but it stopped them in their tracks and allowed the other stations in the area to freely go about their business and allowed people to vote without having to face the vile threats and indimidations of the mob.

Few countries in the world would have tolerated this regime in power for 3+ years. do not blame others for the Sh#t we are in. Be honest, were you happy with the mass/mega happenings during the PTP rule ??

But of course, no passionate (and unscripted) speech from her condemning violence and pleading for all parties to refrain. Some people might get the wrong idea.

How many times will you people need to hear the big picture before you understand?

I'm guessing quite a few before the penny drops.
