Over 300 supporters of People′s Committee for Absolute Democracy With the King As Head of State (PCAD) were led by Mr. Suthin Tharatin to Sri Eiam Temple in Bang Na to force the shutdown of an advance voting session held there.

A number of people were also injured in the incident. The body of Mr. Suthin and the wounded have been transported to local hospitals.

Media reports identified Mr. Suthin as a prominent activist of PCAD, and a former executive of the New Politics Party, a political arms of the Yellowshirts′ official organisation: the People′s Alliance for Democracy (PAD).

Meanwhile, other smaller clashes and fistfights between anti-election protesters and their opponents were also reported elsewhere in Bangkok.

The red-shirt movement is out. And for those that interpret obstruction as violence, the red-shirt movement has a different definition - from the barrel of a gun. Those are the means they wish to apply and those are the means of terror. There is no justification for murder.

People on both side are crazy. This will not be the end only the beginning. Death means nothing to these people.

STR-led protesters told to return to rally site for fear of assassination

BANGKOK: -- Nasser Yima, the chief security guard of the Students and People's Network for Thailand's Reform, told STR-led protesters to return to their rally stage at the Chamai Maruchet Bridge.

Nasser told the protesters to return to the rally site after one protest leader and nine other protesters led by the People's Democratic Reform Committee were shot at the Bang Na polling station at Wat Sri-iam.

Nasser said the opposite side might attempt to assassinate leaders of the protesters so the STR cancelled its plan to rally at the Bangkok Yai polling station.

When you prevent millions of people from exercising their voting rights you are bound to make a few bad ones angry. Killing someone is always wrong but he knew the risks of his actions and paid the price.

Could be a revenge attack for the gun attack against the Red Shirt leader a few days ago.

Chalerm has blood on his hands. No sooner has he stated that Suthep will be arrested 'dead or alive' than we have Taratin shot dead, the same method Chalerm said was ok for Suthep. Inciting the red shirts to lethal violence by saying it is ok to murder the anti govt protesters (ok for the police to murder the leader).

Finally, now Suthep will see the damage he has done to his country in his effort to gain leadership other than the ballot box. Shame on this terrible excuse of a man.

Spot on.

Condolences to the man's family, but if you knowingly and willingly engage in illegal and undemocratic practices, you're going to make enemies, and should expect illegal and undemocratic repercussions.

  • Popular Post

In a country where people get shot at for cutting in front of someone on the highway, stopping people exercising their democratic rights will have repercussions. This undemocratic minority have pushed things to far.

Chalerm obviously takes his cue from the evil monk in the 70s who said it was OK to kill a communist. The result was many poor Isaan villagers slaughtered with impunity by armed vigilantes without any proof of their political views, just like Thaksin's war against drugs.

There is a huge difference between 2 men fighting for 2 very different things. In the Ukraine, Klitschko is among the protesters, even at the very front of the fights with police. He is fighting for Democracy, calling for elections. Suthep on the other hand is currently in a safe house according to the latest media reports, hoping his supporters will make a power grab for him and is not afraid of causing a civil war in order to prevent elections. Two men, one a hero, one a coward.

Once again we see the true colours of the reds, they are the violent thugs and will kill anyone who op[poses them, even peacefull protesters. This is directly on yingluck and she is now responsible for this death. Comeon all you red lovers, start bragging how great you are now .

Please let me remind you once again. It was not Yingluck that started this problem, but his excellency the mouth from the south. So this death has to be directly his responsibility. If he had not started this problem, that man would still be alive and waiting for the next election whilst the Elected government would be getting on with running the country as they were popularly elected by a large majority to do.

what shameful behavior, these people are surely still primitive

Suthep don't want to get leadership.....he want democracy

This is getting out of hand .. if it has not already ...

RIP .

So in the Ukraine it is right to fight an democratic elected government.

In Thailand it is wrong to fight an not so democratic elected government.
