CityNews - The national election held on Sunday 2nd February was held with no incident here in Chiang Mai.

Phairoj Saengphuwongse, the President of the Election Committee, Chiang Mai, revealed that Chiang Mai had 10 electoral districts containing 2,626 locations and a total number of eligible voters of 1,251,590 people from 709,448 households and a total population of 1,665,233 people. In total 876,113 people turned out to vote.
After polls closed at 3 pm the Election Committee announced that they will have to add the day's votes up with the pre vote ballots before announcing the final tally.
