buying a tablet

Featured Replies

Hello I am in bangkok until friday and I wanted to know the best place to buy an ipad air or similar....needs to be both wifi and used with a sim.

Is there a lot of difference between copy and original...can copy be trusted and finally do these sellers move on price...can you bargain with them ?

I would appreciciate any help or advice...thanks !

you can buy cheap(er) tablets, but copy? no way.

lots of difference? yes. the specs. the quality. the software support.

Panthip plaza or a mall can be just as good to get your iPad Air.

You cant bargain much on these things though.

But you might be able to reclaim VAT at the airport, so, have/ask for the proper reciept.

If you plan to reclaim VAT at the airport, check first that the store actually does offer the VAT refund service. Not all do - and even some reputable stores don't offer it.

Don't buy a copy! It's the worst thing you can do, if you're on a budget, look at different brand devices, Android for example.

You can get pretty much anything at MBK and you can bargain! Often though the cheapest devices would be the imported so no warranty, if that's important for you then buy at the official Apple store and there you'd most likely get the VAT refund receipt.
