Getting the free bus to Don Mueang

Featured Replies

I have checked out the Suvarnabhami web site looking to find out about the free transport to Don Mueang but its not clear were you get picked up from.

can anyone tell me where i catch the free bus and does it have anything written on it, so i know which bus to catch.

Thank you for any help

Yeah. I've gone through the same exercise with an identical result - would love to (in fact need to) know the answer. The closest I've come is that its one of the outbound bus stops near Moh Chit BTS - I had decided to just go and ask until I found it.

Best of luck for a definitive answer.

By the way, I've also determined its not free - There is a small fare.

Sorry. I misread your post - you're talking about from Suvarnabhami - my apologies.

That bus stops at the basement level at Suvarnabhami near one of the exits - cannot remember which one. It is a normal BKK city bus, nothing special, and its clearly marked with signs both on the footpath and on the front of the bus - easy!

If you are talking about the Free Shuttle between DMK and BKK; here are some photos taken by me when I used the Shuttle.

The bus pick-up passenger on arrival floor. You have to show a plane ticket to board. ( arrival or departure )

It does not leave from the basement but from the Arrivals floor. Just ask anyone for the gate number or follow the signs. It is a free service.

Arrivals door 3. Crappy-looking yellow bus just outside. Not flash, but gets you there.

You need to show your boarding pass for the Don Muang flight in order to ride the bus.

Bit harsh!

New Mercedes aircon buses for FREE transfer in ~ 60 mins! Often faster than a taxi. Seats could do with more padding and no in-transit drink service ... but well done otherwise.

yep good service all round no dramas on my trip, no cost either way, less than an hour either way thumbsup.gif

Thanks for the information. clap2.gif

Really, I haven't seen a flight ticket for years!

I suppose I could print out an itinerary but I doubt the driver would know what he was looking at.

Reason I ask.... I can get to Swampy easily, but DMG is a problem.......can I take off and land at DMG and then use the bus to Swampy then get the Bell bus to Pattaya?

I should have written " e-ticket" or itinerary or booking confirmation from the airline that you print yourself or your travel agent print

I think everybody knows that airlines do not use tickets anymore.

When I used the shuttle it was an employee at a small desk that wanted to take note of my flight details and not the driver.

There are also numerous other threads running on this subject in both the Suvanabhumi and Don Mueang forums - including photos, timetables, trip timings etc etc.
