Featured Replies

Hi

I have an opportunity to buy a secondhand Desparado.

Does anyone have any experience of this bike, I am told it is a japanese import with green book. 80,000 bht .

check the engine and chassis numbers and see if they are the same in the greenbook.

I bought one about a year ago and have been very pleased with it.

They are quite hard to find and don't come up very often, thus spares are not so easy.

Having said that my local bike shop had no trouble getting a new pair of sprockets (+chain) - not too pricey at 2,000B fitted.

Apart from the engine I believe that the bike is the same as the 800cc Marauder, which is a lot more common.

If you can't get parts then there are many places in the USA, but you will pay 20%+7% duties.

I think the price is high - I'll PM you where there are several for sale (invoice) from 50K - 66K.

ps - they customise nicely!

Nice looking bikes, nice to see something a little different, keep us updated.

I think a 400cc is a good option for Thailand, especially a liquid cooled V-twin.
