Old Locomotive at Chiang Mai Station

What's happened to the old loco that used to be in the grounds of the train station? Went past today and realised it's gone...

Sad. It was good to see it there and in fair condition compared to ones put on display in other countries. Hope they are doing someting useful with it. Maybe it is the new locomotive for the high speed rail we were promised.

I have just been told that there was a thai news item about it being put in the farm or a high government official. I hope not. If anyone knows better please post.

It's there. Just moved to a slightly more central location in the parking lot.

That is rather insignifigant, What about the two Vietnam era aircraft that disappeared from the restraurant at the gate to wing 41 about a year ago!

Maybe the same people tried to take the old steam train also but it was to heavy for a 6 ton truck!
