Yingluck blames anti-government protests for rice-pledging problems

Poisoned chalice is what Suthep is creating.

lets imaging Yingluck walks.

1st job on the dest of junta/suthep/dems/ new formed council is the farmers.

Suthep has tanked the economy with the protest and the financial hit won't ease up if Yingluck goes.. this is ingrained as investors will await the protest to bring democracy back.

catch 22, as the harder suthep makes this for yingluck, the harder it is also for his mythical government. he is leaving them in the same dire straits as he is trying to create for PT

Come on Pipkins, change the record, or is it too lucrative? Edited by mrtoad

Life can be a bitch at times, in your work and play. I think those who follow would much rather take what we see as broken right now, than to let this group of incompentents have another 2 year to contine in their madness.

Suthep had little to do with "tanking the economy"The banks, TAT, etc tell us the economy is stuggling in some arears but overall, acceptable.Suthep, if anything has put pressure on some people, political figures included, to do something about the numerous problems and he is going about the rat killing in his small way, as are more and more others.

The rice pledging scheme, the most recent in a line of populist driven Shin clan scams, was designed by Thaksin to impoverish and then rob the farmers of their land, while enriching the Shin clan and friends at every turn.

Please.. please. Get over whatever happened in the past, and stop using weed and booze to make excuses for it.

You really don't post well at the best of times... but as the day goes on... you don't recognise your own illness.

Give it up, and find inner peace..... plenty of wats to go for treatment Pips.

What a filthy, shameless liar. This was a failure from the beginning, failed before any protests-and the graft started as soon as the scheme was launched. The money disappeared, which means it is in her pockets-billions.

She has her's coming, along with her family; that's for sure.

Hope the farmers don't tolerate anything less than her resignation. At least its a serious lesson in who not to vote for. All that was ever received from this scamming family was loans with high interest, debt...other little so called goodies that just came from the blood sweat and tears of taxpayers. Time for airhead to experience those same feelings.

Stupidly though those farmers WILL probably still vote for the same party again and again and again.

Who gave her the piece of paper to read off this time . What a mess .A bit late for apologising now .

The bank of Ag has agreed to extend the loans debt repayments to farmers for another 6 months (nice for the loan sharks) . .. Those who are not customers can also apply for extensions ...This I don't understand.

News Flash

The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) has just read their verdict and found Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra guilty of corruption in the rice-pledging scheme.

Its about time.

I do hope someone has the good sense to take her passport off her...

naw, Let her flee to Dubai. It's a miserable existence there for females.

btw, is that link for real? Seems pretty quick after the Charge and not "Indictment"

Interesting to see where the NACC take all this.

There are lots of accusations flying around. It certainly seems a very large sum of money has disappeared and cannot (or will not) be accounted for. G2G government scams, Cambodian and Burmese rice being sold as Thai, transportation and storage scams etc etc. Even alleged forgery by a company owned by the MP wife of a RS leader.

The NACC need to act on this quickly. If guilty, there should be no "deal" to allow a runner in exchange for going quietly. Punishment should be appropriate in accordance with the law and assets seized. If not guilty and all the fraud accusations cannot be proven then the caretaker administration will be vindicated.

NACC must act quickly to alleviate the plight of the farmers and stop more damage to the Thai economy.

Yingluck should concentrate on producing transparent figures and explaining the various accusations rather than trying to simply deny responsibility and blame anyone she can. Not doing so suggests she knows there are things that need to be hidden.

Have you been to Dubai or the UAE? Ladies have a very nice comfortable live indeed - especially if wealthy. They have some of the biggest shopping malls in the world, packed with luxury designer goods. All day shopping, wonderful hotels and restaurants, very safe and two major international airports to choose from.

If she's found guilty, better that she is imprisoned along with any others found guilty.

One criminal fugitive repeatedly stirring the <deleted> is enough.

Very nice piece on CNN: Thailand's Upcountry Boom Fuels political Divide. Very fair and accurate, reflecting world opinion and the realities of the situation ( as opposed to the bar stool view or that from a thong lor condo)

The caretaker PM has finally arrived at the point to which she has been traveling since she declared her intentions to enter politics.

She has sunk to the level of those she has sourrounded/associated with, in her attempt to carry on the Shin family, destruction of a nation, for their and their corharts enrichment. She has plead "no knowledge" "I was not there", "I am doing my best", "be patient", "I am unaware of the charges", "My Ministers assue me its good for Thailand", "I have put the most qualified in positions of responsibility" etc and then more recently the outright lies. She has proven in all her political time in office, that she and her 'team' are a danger to the wellbeing of Thailand and its people.

Add, 'no food prices etc., are not going up, your just imagining it'.

Seems your going to fiddle on regardless of the fact that the ship is sinking super fast and will soon be totally gone.

Yingluck is right about this. The same group that is using Suthep to try an act as a popular alternative to the government, without much success outside Bangkok, is also influencing the courts, banks and other bureaucrats to try to get rid of the democratically elected government. It is shameful, and the Prime Minister is spot on with her criticism.

And she actually believes everything her brother tells her to say???

What a BIMBO...

The payments to the Rice Farmers was long over due well before the present troubles started.

If she has an economics or maths degree obviously someone else took her exams for her.

You do not have to be an Einstein to realize you have to have the money in the first place, this governments "creative accounting" if destroying Thailand.

I think if you investigated her relation with Thaksin a little further, you'd find that in Thailand she is legally his sister, but in the western world she is his illegitimate daughter.

EXCEPT CNN, like FOX News, has zero credibility.

But it does explain why you don't have a clue about what is going on in this world as evidenced by your 'fog of propaganda'.

"Very fair and accurate"

LOL, ease up on the ear medicine.

Why don't you call up Dan Rivers and ask him about CNN's credibility here?

Not just yet.

She's been summoned to hear the charges but there has yet to be a trial and conviction.

My heart goes out to her.

@ Yingluck; If I we ever meet, then I'll buy you a drink.

Why not give her a pearl necklace as a gift?
