'Satanist Murderer' Claims He Acts In Self-Defence

Mr. Prakarn Harnphanbussakorn at the press conference following his arrest, 19 February 2014

BANGKOK: -- A self-proclaimed Satanist worshiper claimed he killed a metal musician because the victim had insulted his belief in Satanism.

Mr. Prakarn ′San′ Harnphanbussakorn, 26, also said in a police press conference at the Bangkok Metropolitan Police headquarters that he murdered the victim, Mr. Sam-Ong Traisattha, as an act of self-defence.

Police said Mr. Sam-Ong was a lead singer and bassist of the metal band "Surrender of Divinity" while Mr. Prakarn was described as a long-time fan of the band.

The wife of Mr. Sam-Ong, who was popularly known among the Thai metal community as his stage name ′Avajee′, alerted the police after he was found with stabbing wounds in his living room on 9 January.

Mr. Sam-Ong′s wife told the police Mr. Prakarn was present at their residence shortly before the incident.

The crime took another twist when Mr. Prakarn allegedly admitted to killing Mr. Sam-Ong on his Facebook account, which was registered under the name "Maleficent Meditation".

In the Facebook post, Mr. Prakarn allegedly claimed that Mr. Sam-Ong had insulted him by defaming Satanism, which was the faith of the suspect. The posting also stated that Mr. Prakarn had stabbed the victim for more than 30 times "because he deserves it", and that he remained perfectly calm after the murder.

The arrest warrant for Mr. Prakarn was soon issued. The suspect′s stepfather eventually contacted the police for his surrender on 18 February.

During the press conference, which was presided over by BMP chief Pol.Lt.Gen Khamronwit Thoopkrajang, Mr. Prakarn admitted that he had harboured a hatred toward Mr. Sam-Ong because he liked to mimic Satan and Satanist worshiper on the performance stage.

The suspect said prior to the murder he paid visit to Mr. Sam-Ong′s residence, and both men drank some alcoholic beverage over conversation. The chat grew hostile after Mr. Sam-Ong allegedly expressed his disbelief in Satan and "insulted" the belief in Satanism, which greatly enraged Mr. Prakarn, a devoted Satanist.

Mr. Prakarn told reporters he and Mr. Sam-Ong eventually got in a fight, and the deceased lunged a knife at him, so he had no choice but to stab Mr. Sam-Ong in self-defence.

The suspect also denied posting on his Facebook after he fled the scene, adding that he had no time for social network when he was trying to elude the police.

However, Mr. Sam-Ong′s wife and his other relatives who were present at the press conference were angered by Mr. Prakarn′s suggestion that the victim started the fight. Mr. Sam-Ong′s widowed wife shouted "Liar!" at the suspect, while the victim′s relatives attempted to mob him.

The police immediately intervened by escorting Mr. Prakarn away from the press conference. The investigation is ongoing.

BANGKOK: -- A self-proclaimed Satan-worshipper turned himself in on Tuesday to face charges of murdering a musician on January 9, Bangkok police chief Pol Lt-General Camronwit Toopgrajank said yesterday.

Prakan Hanpan, 26, who was accused of fatally stabbing Sam-ong Triasattha 30 times, told police that it was in self-defence. Sam-ong, 36, was the lead singer of a black metal band called "Surrender of Divinity".

In his testimony, Prakan said that the two started fighting at a drinking party because the victim insulted the suspect's beliefs.

He claimed that Sam-ong then held a kitchen knife at him and ended up getting stabbed in the struggle.

He backed the wrong horse.

Followers of the Fallen One will all regret it eventually, including the eccentric ultraclass ruling elite families who have been exposed having rituals in worship of the diabolic. Some people go as far as to say that many of our problems globally are due to the fascination with and worship of the 'ancient enemy', and those powerful people are making decisions that affect huge numbers of people around the world and basing those decisions on the corrupt and poisonous nature of the evil side.

They will ultimately lose, because God is love and love is the only true power. Love is the only thing that can create and construct, so it will always come out on top in the evolutionary process.

Considering the subject matter, I am not quite sure the big cheesy grin/laugh in the first photo is entirely appropriate. rolleyes.gif

A nice thought, the problem is we live in a Universe with the laws of equals and opposites so this will always exist. Black white, ying yang, matter anti matter, light dark, good evil, love hate. Good is only on top when evil takes a break vice versa. Once we as a species stop being attracted to material gain then good will triumph over evil, till then.... It could be a long wait if the number of monks shopping for mobile phones and laptops is anything to go by.

Yunia, the "ancient enemy" is religious belief, this incident is simply another example of a believer killing a non believer.

Seriously? Here's one from a few months back in which a God-fearing Christian pastor murdered a couple: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2453623/Kentucky-pastor-murdered-husband-wife-attended-funerals.html Perhaps they backed 'the wrong horse' too? I'm sure an atheist could make a compelling argument. I prefer to leave religion out of it and believe that people can do 'evil' things regardless of their faith (or not) and regardless of who is 'running the universe' (if anyone).

Belief in hocus pocus, which is endemic among Thais, from the head council of the Sangha on down to the peons. Most observers, when they see Thai hocus pocus, think: "Oh, isn't that quaint/cute/amazing/colorful !" They don't see the down-side to believing in elaborate myths like metaphysics, ghosts, talismans, astrology, etc. Even Thai-style Buddhism is steeped in hocus pocus, and is as far from real Buddhism as Twinkies are from Danish pastries.

How can you stab someone 30 times in defence ? he looks like hes not got a scratch on him.

let him go and meet his 'Lord' in the dark realms where suffer he will

The lead Thai cop seems to be having a good time.

Yes, it is hocus -pocus and wickedness..and awful music. No one ever got stabbed over Dusty Springfield , The Carpenters, Smokey Robinson and The Miracles, Sylvie Vartan or Thongchai.

Why in the world would they want to have a press conference with the murderer?

I listen to heavy metal and I've never stabbed anyone

Big deal...it's nothing compare to what had happened in Norway in the 90s. Yet I am surprised that they (Thai black metal fans) take their own bands so seriously. I mean come on...black metal band from Thailand? What the hell are they supposed to stand against? How many Christian/Catholic people live in Thailand? 0,5% ?

One more nut case taken off the streets for a short time blink.png

First of all, believing in God and following the path of love and compassion and humility, is not the same as wearing a priest's robe or having read the Bible a million times or having spent years sitting around churches. Religions including Christianity enshrine the fundamental belief that you are "alone with God" and it is your own faith in Him, your own actions in life, your love and kindness, these are things on which you will be judged.

So criminal X commits crime XYZ, he will be judged on the hatred and cruelty of his actions, not on the fact that he is a self-proclaimed religious expert / priest / whatever.

Religion is an intensely personal thing, which has been externalised over the centuries to become a mass-process where you tick the right boxes according to norms, but the core faith is that you are alone with the celestial power, and you are judged by Him for your acts in life. Simple as that. Wear whatever fancy robes and collars you like, you will be judged for the love in your heart and your kindness towards other living things, or the hate and cruelty in your heart and the destruction you bring. Nobody is above judgement, and the same rules apply to all.

Finally I don't respect the phrase "Godfearing." I do not fear God. I love God. Only cruel and evil persons should fear God.

crazy people, god/allah/buddah must love them

Heavy metal satanists? They would like this one ( although it might be a bit too deep). Thongchai from the gollden years of Thai tv

Someone once pointed out that religion is one thing that can make good people do bad things. And feel good about it. Not to say this guy is good, however. Because all religion is made up from minds of humans, there is danger. Not all minds are tolerant and loving.

I completely agree. Human beings have been given the unique inquiring consciousness that allows us to decide our actions based on our own feelings of what is right or wrong. This is part of the whole system, we are tested on our ability to act in love or hate, you can not have one without the other, as you say there is always opposites. The evil actions and indeed the master of evil who is named in the OP, are part of this process of 'having choice'.

But we are uniquely gifted with the ability to discern the difference and act accordingly. And we are judged on this, in my humble opinion.

Regarding the particular murder in the OP, "they had been drinking and started to fight and one of them died" is a situation that occurs many times daily around the world. The difference here is that one of them was a follower of this nefarious agent. But to me this is his own soul-related problem and not relevant to the crime, because in law he is a common drunk murderer like so many other millions around the world.

Also if we wanted to believe this man that he was serious about satanism with a small 's', his plea of "self-defence" should be discounted for the simple reason that his Master is infamous for being the ultimate liar in existence. But I would treat it as any other common drunk slaying for legal purposes. It is always sad when somebody dies such as the unfortunate gentleman in the OP, but it is a common integral factor in drunken arguments with people who may be very unstable.

Well I guess he will have the rest of his life to practice is beliefs in a thai prison. And doesn't bend over to pick up the soap in the showers

U write just as much rubbish as him

All the religions that practice what you preach Aldo fight wars and kill under the same name

Any person with reasonable intelligence in this day and she who is not on denial knows there

Is no god and no devil only science

The physical evidence to did prove a religion is allot stronger than any claimed miracle from thousands of years ago and most super natural thing can be explained some cannot be bit we as humans are still developing

As for this man going to hell he shall join a few million religious people who fight and kill In the name of god that's if such a place exists

From a super intelligent being the thought of a Jevon in the sky would be as due full as telling the child about the tooth fairy or Santa Claus

A way to push people into falling in line

My advise is to not worry about religion and just do as you are programmed to do or you shall waist your life

Rip to the victim to this incident further more my best wishes to the families involved
