Dunno about FL, I just called the court's clerk to get the costs, added FedEx charge plus a bit to be safe, sent off a postal M.O. with a letter requesting + cpoy of two IDs, got it back in about three weeks. YMMV

Depending on the county you may be able to get it on line. Google where the divorce took place and county clerk and see if they have the records on line.

You used a money order from the Thai post office for an international money transfer?

Seems like I'm picking on you but I'm not really. How many embassies do you know that require a divorce original? How many Amphoes? How many times have you gone through the procedure in Thailand?

I've ordered divorce records from the U.S. for friends before and, in general, you can order them from the county clerk's office on-line using a credit card, paypal, etc and they will mail an official stamped original. It's just a good idea to have an official stamped original of your birth certificate, divorce decrees, spouse death certificate, etc in your personal files.

I suspect most gov't agencies, including amphur offices, are going to want to see stamped originals to prove you're free to marry again.

I suspect most gov't agencies, including amphur are going to want to see (for Americans) the "affirmation of freedom to marry" affidavit is obtainable at the American Embassy in Bangkok or the American Consulate in Chiang Mai. This affirmation must be made in person. It is not possible to obtain the affirmation from the United States in advance.

If either you or your fiance have been previously married the Amphur will want to see proof that prior marriages have been terminated. Divorce or death certificates should suffice. These documents, if available, should be translated into Thai prior to presentation at the Amphur.
