Especially those that cook their own at home, heres the heads up

on ingredients you might not know about, all available at Makro.

Makro on Super highway are clearing stocks of Mothers brand

spices, now only 25 bht a box,I can get up to 6 curries from a

box so its good value. also they have frozen Potato curry puffs,

like a Somoza, pkt 10 only 39 bht, Le Bakers brand from Malaysia.

The Makro at Hang Dong, also has Shan brand spices from Pakistan,

and packets of Mothers brand Madras Pappadums,

But my best find was Rang Mahal Nans, plain and garlic Pkt 5 only 89 Bht,

they are frozen, made in India,so the real deal, I can make a range of different

curries, but could never mange to master making Nans, they always turned

out like roof tiles, hard as rocks, but these Rang Mahal nans still stay soft

even after heating up,so now can make a perfect curry feast.

Being of that school myself (Brit) all of that sounds good. I had in fact already bought a very big box of RM samozas a week or two back. Unfortunately, half of them were covered in green mould. The "manufacturing date" was no further back than November and the "eat by" date a year or two distant. There are many possible explanations of course but a thawing and re-freezing is probably the most likely cause. What can you / we do? What can you believe? Very sad.

Thanks for the heads up bonny lad.

Be the change that you wish to see in the world.

Yes I seen them and was tempted to buy, good job i did not ! personally I would have

returned them to Makro,as they were not cheap, and a health hazard if the rest of

the stocks the same.

Try the Le Bakers potato curry puffs, at least you can see them as they are in clear

packaging, and i hope the RM samosas don't put you off trying the RM Nans as they

are very good.

Noticed stock running low at the Hangdong store. Could this mean the will NO LONGER stock the products? Hope not!

Will try Super Hwy for the Curry Puffs tomorrow...and I'll watch out for any Contamination!

Wish we had a few good Indian or Malay Curry Restaurants here in CNX. Managed to get friends to bring in half a dozen packets of Malaysian Curry Mix recently..... MAGNIFICENT!!
