More rain for Phuket this week

PHUKET: More rain is on the way to Phuket this coming week after parts of the island saw brief showers on Saturday evening (March 22), according to the Thai Meteorological Department.

With the threat of water shortages after a long dry season, the rainfall finally makes it reappearance on the island.

Thunder showers are expected to hit Phuket sometime today, TMD.com reports, with more planned for the middle of the week.

According to the TMD, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will see thunder showers as well.

Unfortunately TMD has not earned any trust or confidence in the past with their predictions. Whenever they say: strong winds, you know it is the perfect time to go out on a small boat, when they say 'no wind, better be careful of strong winds. Same for the rain.

Windguru is not totally reliable as well but much, much better.

That's right... TMD don't earn any confidence nor get their things together. EX.: Rain radar loop at <http://www2.tmd.go.th/radar/pkt120Loop.php>. The high trained stuff thinks 4 images with an interval of 3 HOURS will make a visual loop of the rain clouds. Many times mentioned, but the reaction or repair is ZERO since weeks.

I live in Phuket Town and haven't seen a drop of rain here in a few months.
