It's from a fluent Italian speaker/writer if you look at the twitter link. or her tumblr pages and not a bar owner either it seems....just one persons reporting of commentary on election (mark 3? subsection coup 28 subject to change without notice).

I wouldn't mind if its was a bit more expansive but incisive political comments on a twitter limit is a struggle. Has even less relevance if you have no horse in the race and no say in the outcome. No problems with informed or opinionated commentary but this was a waste of bandwidth.

Some people just shouldn't be given passports The whole twitter feed seems a bit shallow/touristy to me. Guess that inability to get a cheap Chang one day really can spoil your holiday. Italy might just ave had more governments than Thailand since the war hardly a shining example pot kettle black

The tweet is a bit silly but the sign is just insulting to Thais. Serves them right if someone saw it and took offence.

Back in Samut P for a couple of days and noticed last night in our local 7-11 it was a NO booze for sale day due to pre Election weekend.Not a big deal as the lassie who runs our fav street "Bar Talard"was open as usual....Great food,Ice Cold Big Heines and "happy" prices...aroi.

If the right Thai person notices the "stupid" offensive sign then starting next week there could be a lot of "stupid" inspections, Visas, Work permits, licenses, food hygiene, fire prevention measures etc. !

I think you will find that the "Fish & Chip" sign is for the mobile fish and chips that drives around and makes stops at designated places where he enjoys good business.

Some were probably restaurants that serve alcohol. They can still do food.
