Why should these cabbies be allowed to ply their dishonest trade in areas outside airport? Cancel their licences and put them in jail, if they drive without licences.

Copy the Singaporean model, government owned taxis that cabbies can rent. If they break the rules, refuse passengers, etc. they will lose their licence and can not get their hands on a taxi anymore. Simple and effective, just a touch more expensive!

What? No mafias? Hell boy what you been drinking?

This ain't no hub for nothing!

Sounds good but, it couldn't happen could it? All sorts of things might start up like the caning thing.

Then, like Singapore it could become a hub for law and order, or something equally outrageous,

like political correctness.

Then, none of us would want to live here.

Would we?

We have them in the UK for the chavs who've been naughty, putting them on a curfew after seven(ish). They seem to work fairly well in most cases.

"Samut Prakan District Court is eyeing the possibility of using electronic monitoring (EM) bracelets to keep taxi drivers and tour guides who were previously convicted for deceiving foreigners out of Suvarnabhumi Airport."

Shouldn't the cabbies and tour guides lose their licences if they are deceiving customers....wait, hang on, sorry forgot where I live for a moment there. Carry on boys.

Now, where's my coffee?

Still in a cab ;)
