Bank account frozen
Did you ask if you could provide your ID information by email or by Line or Whatsapp? (ie image of passport and image of visa and of permission to stay stamp)? Ask then ask them to unfreeze you account with that info, and promise to show up at the bank ASAP with you passport when you return. I opened my account visa exempt in 2016 !! with Bangkok Bank. i was advised then that i should show up at the bank with my long term visa as soon as I obtained such. So in 2019 when I moved to Thailand on a type-OA i went to the bank, and they copied passport page, visa page and permission to stay page. When I obtained a new passport, I did the same with new passport. When I changed to Type-O visa I did the same. And finally when i switched to LTR visa, I did the same. The Bangkok Bank branch manager (?) at the Phuket town branch of Bangkok Bank made it clear they wanted the latest version of my passport and appropriate Visa. . -

Why Apple Is Losing Ground in the Smartphone War
Yeah, Dr Macbook is amazing, they are so good, so knowledgable, so open and fair, and always a pleasure to deal with. Can't fault them at all. They have sent me away from there before with a solution/workaround to my problem that didn't involve any of their services as it wouldn't have been good value. Can't recommend them highly enough, and their Google reviews back it up. Great company. -

TrueMoney usage abroad
I only have one question about all of these cards and direct payment schemes. Can I transfer money directly into any of them from my foreign bank account. The key word is "DIRECTLY" (SWIFT or ACH, or by using something like Wise). Not through Thai banks that require me to have a bank account with them. Not from having to bring in cash with me and adding credit that way. If I cannot do that then they are all useless to me. I am guessing the answer is no. There must be some sort of regulations in Thailand that prevent that. Unlike the Philippines which have GCash and MayaPay. Both those give you actual bank accounts that you can transfer money directly into from abroad. Nothing like that in Thailand. -

Can you catch diseases from toilet seats?
I was under the impression the Barrett 0.50 calibre was the weapon of choice for long range snipers. On topic, I confine myself to peeing in public toilets. I save defecation for where I live.
