Social Media Outrage as Tourists Blatantly Urinate on Pattaya Beach
...Pattaya’s reputation as a world-class family friendly tourist destination... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Was it? I thought it was originally intended for the Sex Tourists; with Thailand's biggest Red Light District. Since its initial development as the US force's R&R resort during Indochina War. -

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
I didn't report your personal attack directed to me. In fact, I have never reported anyone, for anything. Free speech and all. Some members have taken advantage of that, but no problem for me. The cricket was canceled the other night so I decided to catch up with some posts. There were some interesting posts and I wanted to reply. So what? I have proven you are the most prolific poster in these tax threads. You are the leading poster in the thread in which you personally attacked me, and you are currently sitting in 3rd Place with 130 posts on this thread, and here you are saying I had too many posts on one page for your liking. Well boo hoo. We already have USA, UK and Australia forums. This forum is for all nationalities. Should a few posts get a roll on for any particular nationality, so what? Scroll a little. Is that so difficult? I don't complain when there's a page of Americans discussing the IRS, or Brit's discussing HMRC. You are trying to make it too specific to the point it restricts an open discussion on the forum. Why? -

PEA Office in Pattaya.
That map is clearer than some of the others I've seen. My description is exactly the way I drove there from the beach end of Naklua Road. -

Pager Explosions in Lebanon Target Hezbollah Members 9 Dead Thousands Injured
They killed 9 terrorists, wounded a few hundred, and radicalized thousands of innocent bystanders and their families. By my math, they're going in the wrong direction if they want to defeat terrorism. They're creating them faster than they can kill them. And not just in the Middle East, as recent western events have shown. -

Oil Transport Ship Stranded off Koh Mai Si Due to Engine Failure, Crew of 12 Safe
Good info... But - if this were the case, it would happen to all ships in rough weather. So, is it a maintenance issue then ? Fuel filter not changed out ?? Filter clogged up very quickly... Too quickly ? Indeed - a very strange comment. -

Replacement Apple batteries, oem or generic?
Well no it isn’t really more. Apple basically charges exactly the same, just that the exchange rate has tanked and they don’t adjust prices that quickly, also there is the difference in VAT (Thailand) and state taxes (USA) go back a couple of months and your $89 = ฿3,270 so where is the joke? The closeness to China is irrelevant. -

Revisiting History: The Unlikely Campaign to Vilify Winston Churchill
Okay, well, there is a defined meaning in law today. There would have been no doubt advisors would have told the decision makers how many would likely die as a result. In the end it was 1.4 million Germans at least, probably a lot more, often in the most tortured, brutal revenge kilings. Well, they killed 1.4 million Germans in the ethnic cleansing after 1945, so it was worse than Auschwitz, where 900,000 jews died. But yes, it is different to Einsatzgruppen systematically rounding up jews and kiling them, after 1945, it was the amateurs that rounded up Germans and tortured them. I agree, Churchill was flawed and he was undoubtedly a great leader. Also highly intelligent, more so than anyone in British politics at the time, courageous, creative, a man of action and valour. All these things I don't want to deny, Churchill was a very interesting character. However, he very much should be viewed in a similar light to Hitler and Stalin, even though these latter killed more people, Churchill killed millions, and was willing to kill millions more. Moreover, it was Churchill who prolonged the war in Europe, and who was instrumental in turning the war into war involving the US and Russia. He conspired to achieve this at every opportunity, for the simple reason that he knew Britain alone could not defeat Germany. -

Honest Question: How is Trump a 'threat to Democracy'?
That seems to be the case watching from far away. Everything appears very one-sided. -

“Queers for Palestine” Offered $1 Million to host a gay pride parade in Gaza or West Bank
Ok lets do some maths. About half of them are children so lets say 1m for convenience. About 5-10% of people are gay. So that's 50,000-100,000. The only safe place in the middle east for gay people is Isreal. I'd say "100s or 1000s" seeking refuge in Isreal is a reasonable assumption, wouldn't you?
