Car Insurance - Phuket.

Featured Replies

Hi

Does anyone have any recommendations for good first class ''Car Insurance''..

I live in ''Phuket''

Cheers

My experiences with Muang Thai Insurance are excellent.

All the major insurers are good, we use SCB and pay a extra premium to have a

ford repaired by the ford dealer instead of one of their reccomended repairers

Someone on here recently posted that AXA give a courtesy car for a few days if yours is off the road but you'll have to do a search unless the poster comes onto this thread.

But generally most auto insurers are fine. I think we are with Viriyah. Go to a broker if you want a choice.

Alternatively, Thailand has at last entered the 21st century and there is an online brokerage service called direct asia. Not sure if I am allowed to link so I won't.

I was with Viriyah and very unhappy with them, am with AXA (yes, courtesy car) now via AA Insurance, insurance forum sponsor. So far happy with their brokerage service.

Yes, I posted about AXA. They do pay for a hire car (up to 1,500 baht/day allowed) for maximum of 2 days, even pay for 2 night accomodation if more than 100km from home.

My experiences with Muang Thai Insurance are excellent.

I had a whole lot of trouble with their service and changed to AIG. Ever happy since that time.
