์Next model Honda Dream: When?

Featured Replies

I still like the good old Honda Dream. Currently Honda seems to be trying some retro-styling on the existing (somewhat dull) model.

Which is nice enough, leveraging decades of Super Cub history.

However I get the feeling that the next model may really have retro features. I'm not under any time constraint to buy, so I'm wondering if anyone has any thoughts on when the next model might be due for release? (Anything super-cub based, also when it's not under the Dream brand)

Follow up to self.. In Japan there seem to be all kinds of interesting models based on the basic Dream / Super Cub model. These look highly interesting.. To the point that it seems like free money waiting for Honda to rake in.. and finally do something stylish and original in the process.

Is this model available in Thailand? Its perfect for mounting a large transport box on the rear for shopping.

The only similar bike (without pillion seat) i know of is the Ryuka Classic2.

new honda dream is around. released 1.5 years ago. it is 110 cc semi auto.

similar to cub posted above but just color differences. looks nice and sturdier though.

WinnieTheKhwai, what "real retro features" do you expect coming in future?

To reduce confusion i try to list the currently in Thailand available models:

Dream 110i

Dream Super Cub (identical to Dream 110i but different colors)

Both do not have a rack. I would like to buy the model with rack instaed of pillion seat (first picture in the OP), but it seems not available, or am i wrong?

That's not a Honda, it's the Ryouka thing.

All the bikes portrayed above are honda's.

I don't like the front drum brake, retro or not but the single seater with the huge luggage rack does look very practical.

Before we bought a car we used the scooters for all shopping and we sometimes overfilled them to where they were outright dangerous to ride.

Having a kid makes shopping in the truck a breeze and we sometimes fill 2 shopping carts.

My wife's Scoppy have a 33lit top box permanently fitted so it's good for short shopping runs.

I'm after an aftermarket rear seat to fit on the rack.

Anyone know where to buy?

That yellow one is fantastic. I think much better than the modified cubs.

can only find sets of seats and not sure if will fit your bike. an upholstery shop should be able to make one for you; a few years back i used one in Soi Siam Country Club, just before the railway line

But you can buy the 125cc in Thailand, no problem.

Are you sure you are on the side of the border and not piss drunk??

In Thailand, only honda Wave 125 and 110

but honda dream only 110 cc

Doesn't the Dream 125 sold in Cambodia have a carburetor? All of Honda's current bikes in Thailand are fuel injected. It could have something to do with Thailand's stricter emission standards and/or the decreased availability of benzine here.

In Thailand, only honda Wave 125 and 110

but honda dream only 110 cc

Ups sorry, I was thinking about the wave.

I thought that honda stopped making carbed bikes a long time ago but I might be wrong.

My thoughts too. Why not get a retro-looking bike if your taste goes in this direction, but with modern brakes and suspension.

Retro looking is OK - retro sure ain't !!

Yes in Thailand you need the best brakes you can get and I will never compromise on that just because of looks.

Well I did once, bought a Tiger Retro w/sidecar and what a mistake that was, the front brake was so lousy that I could easily push the rig with fully pulled front brake.

The fxxxxxx thing was dangerous to ride with a person in the sidecar but quite funny when riding alone as you could just lock the rear wheel and spinning sideways, he-he.

So NEVER again a front drum on my bikes, retro on not, safety first.
