Etoricoxib (arcoxia) - generic brand in Thailand

Featured Replies

My friend can only use these tablets Arcoxia to reduce the pain and they cost 280 baht for 5 tablets .

We've tried several big pharmacies in Pattaya but none of them offer generic alternatives.

I know that generic brands are available in India and other countries so was hoping it would be able to get in Thailand. Any suggestions for pharmacies in Bangkok that might have them ? Thanks.

Seems to only be available as the brand named , imported, drug in Thailand.

All pharmacies have a copy of Mims which lists all available medications. Just ask to see the book and check yourself

This is the distributor, perhaps call or drop them an email to find out who sells it retail.

(added - although it looks like you're only after the cheap generics, in which case you're probably looking at buying online which is fraught with danger).

Ok I was afraid of that, I found an Indian company selling generic tablets online but I think its not really a trusted source.

Your friends medication is a non -steroidal anti inflammatory medication.

The Arcoxia is said to be less likely to cause "stomach" problems but there are many many other cheaper non steroidal medications which may help.

You friend might like to think about seeking advice from a rheumatologist.
