E'norme Restaurant = Enormous Disappointment

i have got the the stage to ask for all the meals to be served together or I will not accept them ,I am fed up getting the rice 15 min before the rest of the meal

A very good restaurant, but notorious for serving dishes at intervals is Tha Nam, but if you make it clear, they will make an effort to get everything to you at the same time.

Seems to me a very good restaurant you shouldn't have to ask they would try to serve them as close together as possible.

Mostly Thai - served Thai style.

I think it's only me that's bothered and it remains a very good restaurant, great location.

I think it is best to take it all in with a bit of skepticism. I know of two different places I could have posted bad about. But that was a while ago and since then I have been back to the one and heard nothing but good about the other one. Mind you my first opinions were about two years ago. Give them time particularly if they are new. They may be just an off day.

Serving meals with no cook is not an off day it is really bad business. They should have closed for the day. But then again TV posters being what they are would find that a reason to talk them down.

I find it puzzling (but not unusual) that you should be sceptic...after all, I have nothing to gain from posting my comments except to provide an insight into a poor dining experience. Further, yes you might say I'm talking E'norme down, but it is at least an honest (and recent) opinion. You go on to say, "Give them time particularly if they are new. They may be just an off day." Do you think they would accept my saying on receipt of the bill, "I'm sorry, my money is having an "off day"

You have to be very careful what you say about some establishments. Derogatory comments can be unacceptable.

I view your post as simply a summary of what occurred, if you don't like it just say so, within reason. If others wish to try it out it's their choice.

I don't like the look of the place so an immediate put off, but that's just me.

When I drove by I had the irrisistable urge to keep going and did so but the posters commenting on getting ones rice before the rest of the meal intrigues me. I seem to have to ask up to 5x and get the rice when everything else is already cold so much so that I have considered not ordering my entrees until the rice is on the table. Am I the only one?

Meant no skepticism against you yes it was your experience. I was trying to point out that it might just be a one day occurrence and the next day be OK. I have been told that opening a new Restaurant always has some bugs to be ironed out.

Basically my skepticism was aimed at the posters who are taking it as an every day occurrence there and will not go there at all based on your one bad really bad experience.

No skepticism towards your experience.

In agreement with the concept if they are charging for a product it should live up to it's price. If this happen to yo would you recommend a friend to try it and hopefully it also won't be a waste of his money. Now if they comped the meal and apologized for wasting my time but at least not my hard earned cash I might be inclined to try it myself before coming to any conclusions and/or not steering other diners away.

I also was interested in etymology of E'norme and had come to the conclusion it was opened by a Frenchman with a either a stutter or a love of click languages.

ps disturbed to learn it's not a real chateau.

Next you'll be telling us the windmill down the road is fake.

If I open a restaurant, selling beef, spuds and yorkshire puddings I might call it Ee_Bah_Gum

How about going upmarket and calling it 'Le Maison d'Ecky Thump'?
