Sparkles Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 First it was Ronaldo blubbering when he won the best player in the world award. John Terry had yet another weep when he realised that Chelsea had blown the CL. Ashley Cole has now had a weep as his days at Chelsea seem over Luis Suarez shed a few tears when Liverpool capitulated last night and is probably wondering what he can tell Liverpool fans when he now gets an offer he can't refuse. Are our footballers getting soft or is a new age thing ? If Giggsy decides to play against Hull at OT as a farewell...expect more of the same. Reminder to top up on tissues
petermik Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Emotions run high sometimes-proves they are only human after all
StevieH Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 it's almost 25 years ago paul gascoigne wept during a match when he realised he was going to miss a world cup final. so it's hardly a new thing. i like it anyway, shows the players give a shit. something they're often accused of not doing. 2

mjj Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Robert Huth thinks players should be give a 3 match ban for blubbing on the pitch. 1
uptheos Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 "Ashley Cole has now had a weep as his days at Chelsea seem over": Never mind, our great leader will probably dry his tears by offering him an undeserved holiday in South America. BTW The Crying Game 1992.......excellent movie.
jellydog Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 A few tears here and there can occasion this thread ? Watch Argentina football. Nearly every game looks like either a funeral or a wedding. Kisses and tears out the wazoo.
wilai Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Robert Huth thinks players should be give a 3 match ban for blubbing on the pitch. As opposed to stamping I assume!!!! Can't tell you the full story but I once had the b'stard blubbing himself. All I will say is that he lived in Windsor, and shit himself when I told him he could miss the World Cup in 2006. Ran crying to Chelsea's secretary who bailed him out. Was only winding him up but was funny at the time

wilai Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 Sorry.....Official Secrets Act and all that Wasn't too serious and I was amazed when he burst into tears....his missus too

And he'll still be remembered most for shagging his brother's wife and the worst superinjunction ever. 1

I took the mickey as much as anyone else at the time but it's not something I will only remember Gigg's for. I think credit should go where it's due and IMO I think that what he has done on the football field far outweigh any indiscretions he has had off it. Don't think his brother would agree but that is on a more personal level.

If you only knew his brother Rhodri you would understand why-if you cannot help a mate or family out in a time of need you are a sad person indeed, sometimes a man has got to do what he has whether he likes it or not

Having an affair for years with your brothers missus is pretty damn low. Especially when you have women throwing themselves at you at any given opportunity. 1

jellydog Posted May 6, 2014 Posted May 6, 2014 With that curler getup you could pass for any number of things.

So would it be fair to say he's a little scumbag, that happens to be a very good footballer, that had a superb career, that you wouldn't turn your back on. .
mxyzptlk Posted May 11, 2014 Posted May 11, 2014 Apparently they are doing a remake of the original classic with a cast taken from the bottom of the EPL....
