Why has logging in to TV stuffed up my computer?

Featured Replies

Since I logged on yesterday, my mouse keeps not working and I have to restart my computer to get it working again.

Before that, it worked perfectly, so it is something to do with TV.

Check your PC for viruses and ever thought that it could be caused by hardware failure ?? Changed your mouse yet ? Changed the USB port where your mouse is connected to yet ?

If TV was to blame you think you'd be the only one complaining ????

I have up to date antivirus and antimalware on my computer.

Why would it be a problem immediately after finally being able to log onto TV and TV being a problem- not just for me, but lots of other people having problems as well, if it was a hardware problem. As I said, restart computer and it works again. Of course I try the other USB ports, but none work. Don't have the problem on other forums/ web sites, just TV.

Oke

Scan your PC with the following sw

- HitmanPro (http://www.surfright.nl/en/hitmanpro/)

- Malwarebytes (http://www.malwarebytes.org/)

- Superantispyware (http://www.superantispyware.com/download.html)

Change your Mouse

Update your Flash Check Here (http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/)

Which Browser do you use ? Firefox ?? start in Safe Mode (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode#w_how-to-start-firefox-in-safe-mode)

Other browsers, disable all Add-Ons and try again.

Done all that, thanks. Still have mouse failure, but only when using TV.

What I want to know, is why, after many years of trouble free forum use, I am having problems, and I see from other posts that it's not just me having had problems logging in. I shouldn't be having to jump through hoops just to log into a forum.

Come to think of it though, a while back I was having no luck logging on at the local internet café, but when they changed to Windows 7 OS I had no problem logging on, and I was using Windows 7 when the latest problem occurred.

Which browser do you use ??

Do you use any ad blockers ?

Which addons do you have in your browser ?

Internet explorer.

No batteries, Excel mouse.

No ad blockers.

Addons????? I just use whatever came with the computer. Don't know anything about the tech side of computers.

Wish a computer was as easy to use as a DVD recorder- the guy that invents one like that will be richer than bill gates.

I'll try slimdrivers, thanks.
