Red Shirt “cremation” held in front of Pattaya City Hall

PATTAYA:--To demonstrate their anger at the recent decision by the Constitutional Court to remove the former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra from office, 50 Pro-Government Red Shirt activists conducted a “cremation” ceremony for the 9 Constitutional Court judges who made the decision, an event which was held at City Halls across Thailand.

Despite disruption caused to traffic and the potential dangers of lighting fires on a public highway, uniformed Police were not present and the only item which was on-standby to prevent any fires from spreading was a single fire extinguisher.

Two wooden boxes shaped as coffins were placed close to the front gates and wreaths were placed inside them. Pictures of the Constitutional Court Judges were stuck to the outside of the boxes which were kicked

It would have been much more interesting if they would have burned a few jet skis. Though, we all know that City Hall wouldn't have allowed that.

Little misleading, not really a cremation, more of a burning of a cardboard box.

Not at all misleading if you have any understanding of what the use of inverted commas means, the report didn't mention a cremation, it referred to a "cremation".
