Does PTP mulling their next move involve the use of travel brochures?

More likely a conference call via skype.

Rumor has it (BP article this morning) that Yingluck has left the Kingdom.

And you can't even get a rumour right. The rumour , and that is all it is, is that certain members of the Shinawatra Family have moved North to "avoid possible arrest".

Sign of the times - normally even the BP wouldn't add rumours like that in it's articles, normally leaving that kind of crap reporting to The Nation. Probably hedging their bets and wanting to be "the good people" as a certain person mentioned once, back in the days when Thailand had Elections.

Chalerm sitting at home with a never ending supply of ear medicine would have been the best solution right from the start. Must be wonderful to be in his position sitting there thinking about what a huge success he has been in his job's working for the Dubai paymaster. His family must be incredibly proud of his achievements.

His garage has parking for 26 cars. He's done alright for himself and his sons.

Next move? PTP only want to keep on trying the same failed moved of elections ASAP. Negotiations would be different and have more chance of success.

elections are democratic appointing a PM is not. It has been tried before and did not work then and will not work now. suthep is trying to take Thailand back to 1990 or 2006

At the moment the PTP have been completely out manoeuvred by the Ammart or Ruling Elite. All they can do is appeal to world opinion, which is generally supportive. The Ruling Elite have power - they always have had and they intend to ensure they never lose it again. A sad situation for Thailand.

That is the same all over the world, nothing new here. The establishment is always in charge, its nebulous power ensures continuity. The letter heading may change, but the message is always the same,'do what you want as long as we agree'. The establishment can enrich you and enhance you,or with a few chosen words in the right ear can crush you and destroy you.Not even revolution can change things,in the background the patient powerful establishment acts, advises, and waits, generations if needed. It can't be beaten only outward appearances change.

Pheu Thai mulls next move

Chalerm Yoobamrung, former director of the now-defunct Centre for the Administration of Peace and Order (CAPO), will stay at home

open the liquor cabinet and he will come...

PTP making demands as usual - they really do have a general difficulty understanding what is going around them at any given time - we have the "supposed" government of Thailand holding a meeting in a hotel room - right ? anybody else see something wrong with this ?

Soon their meeting place will be a phone booth in Chiang Mai.

Hmm..... martial law is in place, presumably with the support of number one. Peace and order have been restored and life goes on as normal.

World opinion might just think let's leave it like that for a while.

Next move for PT should be

1. contact General

2. set up meeting with AV and Suthep

3. Get military tv coverage

4. start talking about how much they want to help the people of this country and not their own pockets.

military Lawyers and generals to supervise the meeting.

NO phones or computer equipment allowed in the room or any of the other rooms allowed.

Military Jam all outside communications.

Come up with a plan that all can take back to their people to discuss

The guy carrying the biggest stick has come out.

They're probably mulling who they can "buy" as allies for counter measures.

And I think he was saying that many politicians have done very well for themselves .. ie Chalerm having a Bentley AND a Rolls-Royce amongst other exotic and very expensive cars and all that on a salary in the region of 100,000 baht a month.

" A source for the Pheu Thai party has revealed that Pheu Thai MPs have just begun to receive their salaries. Constituency MPs are paid 100,000 THB a month, twice as much as the amount paid to Pheu Thai MPs when they were Opposition members. Party-list MPs meanwhile are paid 50,000 THB a month. - See more at: http://www.pattayamail.com/news/pheu-thai-mps-still-unhappy-with-their-salaries-6548#sthash.Ne9rcqrA.dpuf"

The red-shirt protesters near Aksa Road would not move away, he said.

More threats. You would think these thugs/come politicians would learn. facepalm.gif

These are idle threats - if the army wants them to move away, they will be moving away if they know what's best for them!!!

Oh what a terrible couple of weeks for this spoof government, does anyone feel sorry for them??giggle.gif

Just push for elections without creating too much "noise" and for equal treatment of the yellow ammart supporters - pointing out, carefully and sensibly, if their are any differences

they can't be crushed and any future HAS to include them and if they are smart and not provocative they will win any future election when it comes

Now is a good time to push for reforms before elections, the reds are in total disarray the government is powerless. The endgame is near the game was played well and with a few more pushes the government will topple.

Some reforms to make sure state officals cant abuse power and nepotism is halted. Make sure that things have to be transparent and corruption charges will hold some real weight.

Then for all I care the PTP can rule again if they win, as long as they play by the rules there is no problem from me. (not that i hold much weight but many think the same that if they play nice there is no problem, not their style of arrogant corrupt governance)

They have just on an hour to mull now before they must face reality.

Wonder who they are going to send, they have to pick only 5. Could it be that not many have volunteered for the job.

elections, yes ...but only with new people ,no ex politicians !

No mayors of cities ,khamlangs ,Orbotors......only people whit no prior links to politics.

So schoolteachers ,engineers, architects ,.......are allowed to the new positions !

No ex-politicians and their families (nor maids)

No parties any more ! There is absolutely no reason for different parties .(look at china and how they are booming ,not every chinese off course,i did not say

it is a paradise ,but surely much better (and freer than many europeen countrees).coffee1.gif

Pheu Thai is once again all over the map. After hastily releasing a statement that they agreed with the martial law - thereby trying to imply that have always been fully in control - they now say they don't like it at all - even though they had spent considerable energy asking for it. Surapong in his Thaksinesque dreams of course wanted martial law to be imposed over an entire two month election period nationally - which is something only Pheu Thai would ever fathom as acceptable. Prayuth put martial law into effect to control the violence. Period. He didn't do it to facilitate an entire national election campaign. Martial law is a seldom imposed power. It is not meant for the long-term. CAPO, Chalerm, Surapong - they have all vacated the limelight. Things have changed. Pheu Thai is not in control. It's time they recognized that. Call Chalerm at his home. He can verify that. He's catching up on his soap operas.

They should be thrown out for what they have NOT done, and for what they have done. No second chances for this regime and they are that sick enough, and have the audacity to MULL the next move.

Sorry you had your chance, you do not deserve elections your record proves it -the courts are proving it---get out. The lot of you.

fortunately YOU are not the Thai electorate and Thais know that the Dems had 3 years in power with your superhero Suthep as DPM and did nothing

they also know that the Courts NOT democracy brought down this government and they KNOW that it is democracy that will save Thailand eventually NOT a few rich, elite ammarts in BKK

their time will come again... now is the time for quietly pushing for elections and embarrassing anyone who delays in the international arena - not fighting

Your to brainwashed to talk to---complete denial of lousy governing. Get this PTP self destructed before protests, you know it --
