Guys, I never venture into your rhelms, mainly because I'm simply a happy snapper.

I don't have a DSLR, just a party camera.

But I did capture something interesting and my question goes to cropping.

Now these two are simply uncorrected images apart from the obvious crop.

Then a simple crop by me ...

Both tell a story in my eyes.

Which one is better, and why?

Welcome to play with any of the images.

Thanks in Advance.

Hi David

I'll have a crack at it mate until someone with more experience comes along.

I like the portrait one for the simple reason that those two poles that are laying down are out of view.

My eye is drawn to the bottom left of the screen straight away when it should be more focused on the main

figure of the guy working the net. There is maybe a little too much sky for my liking also.

The images were a little small and so a bit difficult to crop but I had a go anyway.....I hope you are not offended wai.gif

That is very somewhat similar to what I PP , shaggy , so I went WWWII on the outcome of mine , I hope you don't mind David

Personally I prefer the portrait image , I believe that it has greater impact toward the focal point , the subject , but tonight I hacked out the Landscape one !
