I have a trip to Thailand coming up. I read last week about curfew hours being changed to 12-4am but nothing recently. Is the curfew still on? How seriously is it being enforced? Are clubs, bars, etc. still to be found open? Hard to imagine Bkk without nightlife.

If the curfew is still on, any word how much longer? I might change my travel dates but will not be easy.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

As far as I know its still on and yes many clubs have closed at those times. Some people venture out but if you can change your trip I would do it.

I would imagine it wont be long but cant be sure.

Thanks for the heads up, robblok. Must be a pain in the butt dealing with this for you guys living there (though you're probably still streets ahead in, ahem, quality of life:-)

Actually it does not bother me much, it does bother people who come here for the girls. I will be happy when its gone, but the few times I go out and getting drunk are few. So not really a problem, but if I was on a holiday id postpone it if possible.

My dad is here now and I wanted to bring him to the nightlife but that is a bit hard but so many other things to do that it does not really matter.
