Thailand
Went to the offices at Mae Hia at 10.05am, got Q number 91. Currently serving number 90.Called, handed over insurance docs and car registration docs + cash as requested. Received back docs and new tax disc, left the offices at 10.07am. Probably the most efficient system I have come across anywhere let alone Thailand!

eyecatcher
Seems like it will be quiet for ever more because no one can pass the driving test now. That's a "1" in the air for the expats

mesquite
Seems like it will be quiet for ever more because no one can pass the driving test now. That's a "1" in the air for the expats Except not having a DL won't stop anyone from driving.
wjhall
I agree. Just done mine and could not believe and quick it was and how pleasant the guy behind the counter was. I think they could give lessons to other Govt. departments. Well done Road Tax section!!!
scotinsiam
I was at Mai Hai yesterday - I cant believe how easy the process was. It was busy when I was there but I was still under 10 minutes - wow fantastic.

eyecatcher
You can of course do it online. And get your tax disc in the post a few days later. As I did last month. Actually I am not certain anyone can do it online but we certainly have access.
Thakkar
Did mine at Nog Hoi drive thru. Didn't have to get out of the car, didn't even have time for my customary nose picking session, something I do when waiting in the car for lights, ect.
