I will take a pic of the 400 they have. It looks something like this middle_1318240460.jpg but its not new and i didnt ask about it

it is a nice shop over there. it is sure like a time tunnel. where i live which is old part of Bangkok, is full of these kind of shops.

nice to see you on Saturday, what a chance that shop is 1 km to my house! Sorry to leave you early as had an appointment.

You got the best option there yankee and the best color if you ask me. Yep none of them was in perfect situation but for bikes waiting for a decade, it is totally normal.

But my heart is with that small kawasaki magnum 80 cc liquid cooled 2t for 40 k thb. maybe one of the last ones in Thailand!

The magnum is nice but that Victor S might be more desirable.

Looks like i]m in Hua Hin Tuesday and back to the shop in Bangkok Wednesday.

send me a message. If it is after 17:00, i might be around.

I say TZM. Good little bike. Keeps up nicely with a 400cc bike.

I'd take the KRR - better engine and produces more power. It does however look seriously dated and has a VERY low seat compared to the TZM which is essentially a full sized bike, in terms of ergonomics.

The KR's have more parts availability in Thailand also and are easily and cheapily modified to become monsters.

I also prefer the KIPS system over the YPVS. The KIPS valves are mechanically driven so tend to be more reliable, the YPVS is a normal style power valve but the pulley system is made from plastic, I've had a few warp out of shape on some tuned bikes.

As far as I know, the PDK R1 parts are inerchangeable with the standard KRR, and can be found cheap. The PDK barrel makes a big difference.

I'd say the 150 2bangers rank PDK R1>KRR-SE/ZX150>NSR(SP>RRW>RR)>KRR-SS>TZM>TZR>RGV

Actually the last years of the KRR are very beautiful, and not dated at all imho. Here's a pic:

That said, I also agree TZM is a full sized bike (this is the bike if you are tall). From owning a TZM and Honda NSR RR, I would say that the parts availability is pretty good for TZM. I don't know about Kawasaki though.

What needs doing before it can be ridden? Full service, change all fluids and tyres I suppose?

Hope the carb was drained of fule all those years ago......

^^^ Not sure if there was ever fuel in it. I am sure all fluids will need changing. The tires of course although they put a new battery and tested the lights

The book arrived friday which is a lot longer then i expected. The dealer was originally suppose to do it and i paid them to do it. Two and a half weeks ago they sent me the original paperwork and i had an agent in pattaya do it 1900 baht all in. So basically 2 1\2 weeks with the docs. Waiting to see if the dealer intends to refund my 1200 baht.

Congrats, it's got some good modifications: Tyga exhaust, stepkit, seat cowling, and a ( brembo?) brake improvement ( cailper/bracket)

If I may ask: how much did you pay for it??

Here are the mods done on the bike before it was put in storage 3 years ago.

Jealous! But with some work most of the mechanical mods could be done to a Phantom so I might start looking for a clean one!
