Nok Air from Khon Kaen

Featured Replies

Just picked the wife up fro Khon Kaen airport and I see that Nok Air is starting service to DMK from July 1st. Looking at the website looking like some pretty attractive promotional fares. Not sure if they are trying to drive Air Asia out of the route to the benefit of their big daddy TG, but all competition is good

Interesting news. Looking at the websites of Nok and Air Asia today it looks as though both are offering some bargains - sub B600 (but with add-ons).

Unfortunately still no late flight from BKK.

So a day trip from KKC is cut quite short and no chance for connection fligths arriving in the late afternoon.

I merged the timetables (starting from July, workday).

BKK/DMK - KKC:

DD 06:40
TG 07:15
FD 07:50
TG 10:45
FD 12:30
TG 13:55
TG 15:20
TG 18:20
DD 18:30
FD 19:20

KKC - BKK/DMK

DD 08:05
TG 08:45
FD 09:15
TG 12:25
FD 12:45
TG 15:25
TG 16:45
TG 20:00
DD 20:00
FD 20:40

TG=Thai Airways from Suvarnabhumi (also operated/booked as "Thai Smile", budget)

FD=Thai AIr Asia from Suvarnabhumi

DD=Nok Air from Don Mueang

Actually all the options give me plenty of time in Bangkok. I usually get the first Air Asia flight down, last one back. I'm always at DMK early...may tell you something about how much I like Bangkok
