Australia v Netherlands

Tim Cahill...left boot goal from a high lob. Brilliant goal considering he's right footed.

Wait, Wait till you see the Greek goal.

Hasn't come yet.......but it will be spectacular.thumbsup.gif

Lionel Messi.

Best angle is from just behind where you can see the amount of curve/spin Messi puts on the ball. He's a Picasso.

I thought another angle from behind him shows the bend he put it on to even better effect. But complete agreement on the quality of the goal. How many times will this be shown in future years.?

We are indeed fortunate to witness both goals and who knows not impossible we will have more to drool over before the tournament is over.smile.png

Another cracker last night from James Rodriguez for Colombia in 2-0 win over Uruguay. He plays his club football with Monaco so up to now has had a much lower profile than some of the well known stars.

Toss between RVP (vs Spain) and Cahill (vs Argentina). Van Persie incredible dive and ability to twist his head to lob the goalkeeper is sublime. Cahill volley is just as spectacular. Technically supreme to first time the cross and hit with pace and accuracy and he has 2 markers in front of him. Sensational and 2 of the best WC goals.

Robin Van Persie's goal against Spain, unbelievable diving header that lobs the keeper!

This is my first choice best goal purely for the uniqueness compared with Cahill's and Messi's.
