Clash Over Hampstead Heath: Dog Walkers and Gay Activists Battle Over Cruising Grounds
Hampstead Heath has been a traditional gay cruising spot for almost 100 years. Even the Daily Mail recognises "it's historic status as a cruising ground. " I doubt whether it's used as much now with the advent of Grindr etc. It's not asking for special treatment to carry on doing what you've done for years without being harassed by "Traditional Values" organizations.. The whole idea of cruising is to be discrete, so if it's being too overt then it becomes a problem and something needs to be worked out. -
