Where to buy Brazil nuts in Pattaya?

Friendship out of stock again , Heritage nuts . 

 

Any ideas where I can buy now ? I normally pay 8-900 baht for a kilo .

Central Pattaya beach has them about half the time, salted and unsalted, but often they only stock salted.

Have you tried Makro? They definitely have the "Heritage" products, but I heven't looked to see if they have Brazils.

Yes Makro never stock Brazil nuts , I asked several times.

 

Very strange this phenomena about Brazil nuts and Thailand. Because they actually grow them here but the Thais are not interested in eating it. They only do export. Anyone know the reason for this ?

I saw a show about how they are harvested. Extremely difficult and even life threatening work. Don't know if that answers your question but after seeing that I understand the expense, but sadly the people risking their lives only get pennies on the dollar.
