Nexus 10 - where in Bangkok?

Featured Replies

Great machine i've got one. JIB shops used to sell them not sure if they are still in stock.

A while back- maybe 6 months to a year, some of the booths at one of the IT trade shows at Queen Sirikit were selling them out at a steep discount, so I figured they're obsolete. I recall somewhere around 8900 baht.

That's not to say you won't find one in a shop with some old stock, but I doubt they're bringing in any new ones.

Thanks guys, the reason I ask is because I am travelling to Thailand in September. I was going to buy a Nexus 10 in the UK before I left but then someone suggested I wait until I get to Thailand.

Do you think it's worth waiting, will there be much of a price difference?

Buy it on fleabay in uk.

Current, new electronic gear will cost more in Thailand with the import duties and VAT. You may find a deal here on used or obsolete electronics, and hard drives that are manufactured here (though even hard drives cost more than back in the USA), but 95%+, you'll get a better price back home.

For the next logical question, you generally won't have to pay import duties to bring it into Thailand, but it's best to leave the original box at home so it doesn't look like a new product that you may try to resell here. Lots of people pay for their plane tickets (and then some) by stocking up on electronics and luxury goods like watches and reselling them into Thailand without paying duty or tax. Thai Customs officials know this.

The Asus TF700 is the better model of the Nexus 10 and here is a used one for sale http://classifieds.thaivisa.com/electronics/computers-for-sale/asus-transformer-tf-700t-tablet-287462.html

I have a brand new TF700 that I want to sell that I have only turned on to make sure it works because I have not had the time to play around with it as I seem to like my computer better. This tablet has Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, Full HD 1920x1200, Tegra 3 Quadcore 1.6GHZ, 1GB Ram, 32GB Memory, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, wifi only, worldwide voltage, it has a screen protector, charger, usb cable, cleaning cloth, books, and box. They do not sell these in stores here and I did find one online store in Thailand selling these for around 27,000 baht. I am willing to sell mine for 19,000 Baht and I will ship it to you by EMS so you will have it in about 1-2 days. PM if you want some pictures of it or if you want to make a reasonable offer.
